Hey, I think there should be an auction system on Digital Point. But still be free I hate making threads from scratch. It'd be great to have a auction system like SitePoint, except free Thanks
I would like the idea of something like a DP-shop for each member, where he/ she could trade his / her service. Something similar to ebay.
Well I don't mind about this Auction process but idea is nice to seperate system. It also reduce bit load and also guests may also reduce from this section.
I think similar has been suggested before. In all reality, this is probably something that will take a lot of work and right now the buy/sell/trade isn't really that bad.
No, I don't think it's a good idea. I like DP's nice, informal atmosphere, even at B/S/T. No need to complicate things IMHO.
Bad reputation givin to me because I suggested something? Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean you give me negative marks!
Great idea, I would love to see this happen. This would make things much easier in my opinion, you could just type in your bid, and what not..It would be preety cool, never saw something like this on a forum before..
True, I abhorred sitepoint, but LOVE their auction system. It was an OK place to go until they started those crazy prices... If DP implemented the auction system, now that would rock I would even start buying sites again!
I personally think an auction system would be a good thing, might be hard to intigrate and admin though. And with as many members are there are online at all times like there is on this forum. I do think that this would be a hard thing to do...Probably not worth the trouble. But a great addition if it would not be so difficult to mess with.
auction would be nice, would be easier to sort through the sale threads, but would have drawbacks to i guess,
How is $20 a crazy price when you're selling a site for $500, $1000 or $5000+ dollars and have a formal auction process which saves you time and gets you the best price possible? Plus, you can syndicate your listing out via an image-box to any site on the web, so you don't have to run around updating threads on DP, V7N, Webmaster-Talk.com, DNForum, etc. everytime someone makes a bid...
