Please review: www.awkchun.com Like all sites I built this one to fill a need. I have used several different auction websites and noticed the gradual ratcheting of fees on the seller just to list. Well that's ridiculous. Awkchun.com has NO LISTING FEES and NO CLOSING FEES that's right i won't charge a single listing fee. Plus the auction site supports the sale of digital goods like domains and mmorpg items. Not only that but 'stores' on the site are free with upto 100 items listed! I appreciate any feed back you may have before I finish up the site and start advertising.
We needed something like this for DP sales, so fantastic idea. Will bookmark for future reference. Just need some feedback to make customers feel safe. Best of luck with the website, a bigger brighter header logo is the only area needs fixing but you already mentioned that so no other complaints Cheers Samantha

make the logo background transparent. It looks pretty ugly else. also nice idea. but make sure you get a ton of people to sign up. an auction site is useless if there's no one to bid. all the best..
I like the concept of the site, the design is not bad but I agree with buntoo I think you should make the background of the logo transparent.
Thanks for the kind words guys. Right now the site is all about getting sellers to sign up and post a few items, i cant get buyers without sellers. It's the whole chicken and the egg thing. I am hoping some of my fellow DP'ers will sign up and start posting - i've even tried giving away free features etc.. and will continue to do so until the site catches on. I've also been purchasing ads on Adwords, but it's pointless without products. As for the theme it's stock w/ the script and will be changing soon. I had a dp logo designer working on the logo but he quit communicating with me so i guess it's back to the drawing board.
thanks, when i thought of it i was floored that it wasn't already registered. I snatched it up QUICK! i really think the name itself has the stickyness needed to make an internet success.. now i just need sellers

I take it your asking about traffic? we're at about 100 uniques per day right now, not bad for being in business for less than 2 weeks. Unfortunately a site like this needs constant action, and that's where the problem is coming in. I dropped over $300 on Google Adwords to no avail in getting me sellers. I have people visiting and browsing, but no products for them to look at. So now im looking for sellers, as soon as I get sellers i'll go back to working on buyers again... it's just going to be a back and forth kind of thing for a few months until i get enough on both ends to drive the traffic by WOM.
Complex site. I'd like to know how the name is working for you. I've got a similar misspelled name for an iphone site I own...unlokr.com
