Rules Auction Help

    Hey,
I sold a site using the auction system a few days ago. I contacted the winner of the auction, and everything was going fine. But the guy hasn't paid me yet or replied to my PM, even though he is active and posting on the site.

Below is the time line of whats been going on.
Can I do anything about this? I couldn't find any rules on using the auction system anywhere, so I thought I would post here.

    Thanks

His last response to you was on Friday. I'd say give him a day or two during the actual work week. Some people aren't active (or don't check their PMs) over the weekend. A couple of days isn't anything to get worked up about yet.

It seems he's ignoring me, still no reply. He's active on the site quite a bit and makes several posts daily, and PM alerts arent exactly hard to miss.

Not everyone has PM alerts turned on, and not everyone checks PMs constantly (I know I sure don't).

I sent him another PM last night, and haven't received any reply from that even though he has been online and posted on the forum.

Is it not against the rules to purchase something and not pay for it? I couldn't find any specific rules regarding the auction system.

If they win an auction and don't pay you can report them and we can give them an infraction. But not everyone constantly is here for business -- or at least not your business (they might be online for other things or other deals they're working on. So unless a good enough amount of time has passed, don't report them. I would say unless at least a week's gone by I certainly wouldn't give someone an infraction just because they're not fast enough to make someone happy. That's not how things work in the business world. Unless your deal thread makes it extremely clear that they have a certain amount of time to pay, which they agreed to by bidding, you have to have some patience. It's just like with iTrader -- don't report anything or leave negative feedback until you're 100% sure the situation can't be resolved on your own.

    Hey,

Try sending him an e-mail, that might work.. Unless he has the functionality off. Then, your going to have to talk to the mod's!
