I have a blackberry but am planning to switch to iphone in the near future. Overall I just want to know how I could attract more mobile traffic. I haven't done as much research but I thought I would start a thread here first since it might help others and I might gain a better insight.
I may say promoting your service offline. In my country television is plagued by micro-commercials inviting people to join "club x," online mobile services dialing "X" number, which usually provide you with the URL to get from there those contents they offer. Other offline mobile advertising simply invites people to visit their websites listing how convenient is doing so from their mobiles. Matter of implementing a sales pitch and marketing strategy.
Does anyone have a website or article they can recommend to stay on top of the mobile marketing industry?
If you run a popular website, then why not create a mobile version of it, aside from that, a lot more of the mobile phones these days have the capability to view normal webpages, but usually mobile users are only after some quick information of downloads. It's not easy, you can either provide a service for mobile phone users or do as I first suggested
