I just took a look at your selling page....IMO the background makes the text hard to read. And I had a hard time finding the price. That's the first thing I look for before reading the rest.
I think the most important step to bringing in affiliates (at least for newbie publishers) is to get your conversion rate high. In the end you're not going to be able to get affiliates (and keep them) if you can't make them money. That's what I'm working on now. I know that if I can get my conversions high that getting & keeping affiliates will be many times easier. I'm going to be crazy honest (much more honest than I should be probably) and say that I still need a lot more work. Over the last 3 days I've had a 1 in 171 conversion rate (that's 4 sales with 684 hops.) Obviously I still have a long ways to go as that = just 18 cents/hop for affiliates. That's just not good enough. But when I get that conversion rate really high I'm going to bust in here (and other places) with a huge affiliate recruiting drive I just don't think it makes sense to go really hard after new affiliates when you're not getting good enough results. Now it is true that some really good affiliates may be able to improve on those numbers with a great pre-sell landing page... --- I am telling you all of this because I Just looked at your sales letter and I don't see how there's any way in hell that you are getting results - Your sales letter needs a lot of work imo. Work on that until you are seeing good conversions and then make sure you have a lot of affiliate materials and THEN start trying to actively recruit affiliates.
I'm also looking for affiliates too for my product at http://bloggerspaycheck.com. Yah I agree with zibblu, conversion rate is very important, so I made myself a good salesletter. Now it's doing quite well, hope affiliates would come to promote this.
It depends... I think there are many CB products overrated and many with high potential but undiscovered. I think mine has strong potential for example. It just needs good promotion.
First of all, you need to have a product that sells. IF you can't sell it yourself, you shouldn't expect affiliates to sell it for you. Then - If you have a good product, there are some techniques you can use to get your product recognized by affiliates. Check out my signature for a popular technique that I use - CBCentrifuge. I'm giving it away.
"Shouldn't expect affiliates to sell it for you"? Hello. The point of joining Clickbank and shelling out the fee to do so is to get exposure for one's product, and that includes utilizing the Marketplace and CB affiliates for that purpose.
A great product Great affiliate tools Priced so the end customer perceives value and won't return the product but instead tells a friend to buy it Priced so the affiliates make enough money for their time An attractive website that draws them into your message Timeless or timely material Then get the word out at places like this and other "Bum Marketing" techniques to build awareness as others wrote Louis
If you read my entire post - I say "if you can't sell it yourself" - If you cant sell your own product, then there's a good chance you have a crappy product, or you need to improve on your product, or sales page. In either case, you're not going to find many affiliates to sell it for you. And by the way - Just shelling out money to Clickbank is not going to get your product much exposure. You have to do a lot more than just that. That's the biggest mistake new publishers make. They assume that just putting their product into the Clickbank market place is going to get it sold. You still have to do a lot of self promotion to get your product noticed.
Thanks Zibblu, btw my product has been converting well for the past few days, so I've no problem in believing that you'll benefit from it.
