Hello everyone, first i would like to appeal to any admin or mod to stick this thread as it will save thousands of lives at japan!

disaster relief. I am not a direct representative for globalgiving.org but I would like to help raise the awareness of this

raising efforts, before I vouch for the authenticity of this fund-raising, let me do a brief intro on the disaster efforts:

Summary
The north coast of Japan was hit by a horrible tsunami after an 8.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred 80 miles offshore.

This fund will support organizations providing relief and aid to victims.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Tsunami waves caused major destruction in northern Japan. Current estimates are over 10,000 people have died. We are

working with International Medical Corps, Save the Children, and other organizations on the ground to provide support. Our

partners on the ground are working hard to provide immediate relief. We will post more details of the specific use of funds

as soon as possible. All donors will get email updates on how their funds have been used.

How will this project solve this problem?
This project will disburse funds to organizations providing relief and emergency services to victims of the earthquake and

tsunami. GlobalGiving is working with International Medical Corps, Save the Children, and other organizations on the

ground.

Okay as of all worries about scams, you do not need to worry this as GlobalGiving is a non-profit organisation serving as a

platform for major NGOs in the world to create fund-raising projects online:

As much as I can choose to believe, they are giving 100% to this cause if we pay via credits cards. If you use

paypal, we have to pay for the fees of sending this funds via paypal too.

As for globalgiving.org, it's there since year 2000 and has undertook numerous non-profit projects till now. For this

current fund raising it has already collected $307,289 out of the targeted $542,710 and 9,742 people had made the Donation.

funds are being spent for charitable purposes and according to plan.
The Board of Directors of the GlobalGiving Foundation must approve all grants to organizations opting for expenditure

reporting.
