Theres already a few threads on this. Someone scrapped all the emails off the site and is now spamming us all with emails.
Its a flaw in vBulletin. Someone wrote a post on how he did it and how to fix it but I cant find that post right now. Basically a scrapper going through the memberlist and pulling the emails off of there. Theres more to it, but thats the basics.
I saw a simliar email few days ago somewhere (don't remember) but there was not mentioned that these are from Digital point. Some thing spammy?
Maybe four or five emails from each member of DP to this address (meg74.msn2@hotmail.com) might help! Ha Ha! Roger
That sounds like a super idea. 4-5 emails from atleast 20000 members will be good enough to keep him busy for a while
Basically if you have vBulletin checked for members to send you an email, it shows your email address that you used. I have since blocked that email and used another email address on Digital Point. I also unchecked allow members to send me an email. I posted something about two weeks ago. Got to love how they are offering to sell that script to us as well so we can spam.
Shawn fixed this a week or two ago. Now, the only way for any one to get your E-mail address is for you to reply to their E-mail.
