Hi All My bidding directory offers permanent links, bidding directories are the only situation where I favour permanent links, in view of the cost to the bidders of maintaining page position. However, seeing as the most popular script is phpld, and it comes well equiped with pre scripted policies , at least 1 directory i have seen appears to have put /year on its link bid tabs but, importantly, its faq still states that links are permanent, and most people who bid on directories of the particular script might assume that the links are permanent. I would be very upset if I bid hi on any directory , only to find that the policy intended by the owner is not permanent links. i almost applied for a link before i got spooked, so Please clarify your link policies,
In my link bidding directory, it's only permanent as long as the buyer doesn't request a refund This is a new concept I thought of some time ago, and I am hoping this would attract folks. I basically allow buyers to request a full refund when his/her link is placed on page 3 in both categories. (I also run both regular and alphabet categories) In this directory, I am not going to do yearly. I have one that is based on yearly though but it's a phpld directory (PR4 for inner page PR3 $4 yearly). My faq and other pages were revised before the luanch.
www.SharpDirectory.com my links are permanents means, I will not delete your links. I may sell the site but, I don't generally sell my sites. If I sell the site, I will put a clause that the existing liks stay. So, buying a link on my site is safe. Thanks
All the links on my bidding directory are also permanent. Also added this thing in my FAQ here Point No.5
all links on my Bidding Web Directory are permanant link, only if they don't break the TOS!! and yes, i do agree that the faq's need to be changed if the links are not permanant, it should be on the faq also,
how abt the disclaimer that permanent will only be up to as far as the current owner does not sell the directory?
All the Links on my Bidding Directory are permanent. All mention here at FAQs http://www.biddingweblist.com/faq.html
In my bid for placement directory links are permanent, I think this strategy will encourage submitters to increase their bids when the site gains PR to stay on the stronger pages.
