Attain PR6?

Hello guys, I need to get a PR6 on my site. It is strong and ranks all over but I also want to sell links on it so I need a pr6. Please tell me what I need to make it a pr6, it is currently a pr5 and has pr6 backlinks. Do I need 10+ pr7 backlinks or?

 

i've heard in the past 1 pr8 can get you to pr6 but that was a rumor

 

Hmm, PR8s are like sky high exspensive though...

Doesnt it also have to do with how many links are going out of the high pr page you are on?

I have over 7000 links all pr1-pr6 mainly

 

You will need higher pr sites linking to yours. You'll need a few PR7's and a PR8 should always do the job.

 

howmany link that you need depents outgoing link number on the pages that your link stays.

but why do you want to limit your self?

Lol, well as I said I have over 7k and I rank in practically everything I want thus far. But I want to sell links on the site, and they sell better at PR6 value, I have 3 PR8s pointing to my site, but they were nofollow links I bought when I did not know anything.

 

So getting few links from pr 7-8 edu sites can give site pr6?

Here's a good link that help you calculate pagerank. Obviously nobody, except google, knows the actual math used to calculate google pagerank, but this is probably pretty close.

 

Yeah I have used it before, but the funny thing is my site has a pr8 but the link is nofollow.

 

do you do social bookmarking? Netscape and Digg are PR 8 I think. Have you bookmarked your site there?

I almost got my story on the front page this morning. Someone beat me and posted the same story that I was going to post 5 minutes before me.
What is the secret of getting massive diggs anyway? I am lucky if i get get 5 most of the time.

Don't waste your time with social bookmarking. Certainly google, and every other SE under the sun, has caught onto that game a looooong time ago.

Move to something else..... like... i duno..... quality content? A killer site? Have something that your competitors don't have?

Or, you could just make up a fake news story and submit it to MSN or Yahoo. Seemed to work for some gaming website.

As I said, I have tons of traffic at this point and am happy with the site. I only need page rank so social bookmarking is of no value. I get a couple hundred people a day just from that.
