I never approve any off topic / spam posts so why do they keep coming. At least 2 or 3 thousand a month. Do they get some SEO benefit from posting links which never get posted?
Right so I typed in my site's name and acai (acai berry) and nothing came up. So I don't think the search engines are indexing the spam links. Maybe thier doing some secret little trick I don't know about. There is so much spam that I delete an entire sub-forum every month and repost the approved topics (26 topics). People (real posters) have to send me a pm before I post thier message. Otherwise I have to delete all posts I don't know about. I just don't have time with my job and all to delete spam posts one by one.
Its because it is so quick to do that they can do a thousand of them and maybe 20% get through...Its all a numbers game. They don't actually check in most cases. They are just doing i on the off chance that some get through.
Like ddougal syas - and it'll all be totally automated - using xrumer - just churning out thousands of spam links in the hope that a dozen stick.
