Wait... You think that SCIENCE is not a good way of justifying ones beliefs?

Seriously, I think science is the strongest way of proving or disproving anything.

I don't recall anyone saying this. If you are referring to me, I simply do not think blindly following scientific theories is a good way. Nor do I believe in blindly following a book such as the bible.

~ Innovation and science definitely took man out of the dark ages but it was the motivation of the individuals that made the changes possible.

Science has been and can be proven wrong.

Oh no wait I am wrong, the earth is flat... and e doesn't equal MC^2...

Also there are many different theories that contradict each other.

I didn't say anything about science being infallible. I asked you a simple question; do you believe that a belief in science and logic is comparable to a belief in the Bible, qu'ran, or some other "holy" book?

Do i believe that the idea of us evolving from tadpoles, or the planet being formed by the explosion of some large unknown object in the same court as believing that a all powerful being created the planet, and created us, or guided our evolution? Yes.

Proof that Jesus' life was real has already been discussed in this thread as soon as the words "Matthew", "Mark", "Luke" and "John" were mentioned. There is littered reference to the coming of a messiah in the Old Testament and if you want to believe in the James Cameron finding regarding Jesus - go ahead. If you'd prefer the blood traces on his loincloth, use that. I don't care if you find physical proof of the existence of Christ as a mortal, I'm more concerned that you find it spiritually.

Pre-history was not far in the scope of our development as a species and the Renaissance of Industry and Technology should not be considered our pinnacle but rather our punishment. The more it takes you in terms of hard, solid proof - the more you're going to regret not believing earlier.

Just because you believe something to be true doesn't make it true or a fact. Facts as supported by tangible evidence regardless of what you believe.

I believe I'm the most humble person on the planet. How many of you believe me when I make this claim? I bet not many agree, but some would if they had facts to base their opinions.

    Examples:
    1) At one point some believed the earth was the center of the universe... Wrong!
    2) Some believed the earth was flat... Wrong!

If we all work together we can expand this list to infinity in regards to what people used to believe. Think of what we won't believe in another 100, 200 , 300 years.

I assume most of you Theist have faith which reinforces your beliefs. That’s great. Use your faith to make your lives and the lives of your loved ones around you better.

My point is that a belief supported by faith alone doesn’t make it fact or true.

If that was the case we wouldn't need a court system with trials and jury’s. People would be locked in a never ending battle fighting over what they believe....

    Weird....

Muslims, Jews, Christians, Jehovahs, Mormons, Catholics, the list goes on. Hell I'll throw Atheist out there too, they are just as lost looking for the answer too.

    Merry/Happy consumer driven holidays.

Thats the great thing about science, it doesn't ask you to blindly follow it. it provides mountains of evidence along the way.

Show me one valid piece of evidence regarding the big boom. The string theory? Have any letters or documentation of any kind of these events? Of evolution? Of any of your theories?

    We do.

Big bang. The fact that when we look in to space everything is moving away from us. If everything is moving away from everything else it means space it's self is expanding. And if space is expanding it means the universe is expanding. Now all we need to do is rewind that discovery and we have evidence that at some point in the past, around 5 billion years ago, the size of the universe was very small indeed.

    http://www.physorg.com/news166097923.html

Wow, you really are clueless. Am i really going to have to list the vast amount of evidence we have for evolution?

Religious people making shit up? that's new

You must have a degree in misquoting ;)

But even if you don't, how much proof of evolution do you really have? Don't get me wrong, I believe in evolution itself, but not that we evolved from monkeys, or sea creatures or whatever you guys believe. But really, what evidence is there that we evolved from monkeys?

Chimpanzee chromosome 13 for a start. Look it up then explain how that could be if common decent wasn't true.
ERV DNA in ours and chimpazees genome in exactly the same places. Look it up and explain how that could be if common decent wasn't true.

Don't bother coming back unless you have read and understood the above genetic realities, especially if you have no valid alternative explanation for these realities.

~ May be why there is a fox hole to begin with, organized religion entwined in the military is more synonymous with the symptoms of a disease than its cure.

Excuse me holegames, have you had the chance to read the science I directed you to yet? If so, did you understand it and do you have another explanation for it besides common decent?

Or are you going to deliberately remain ignorant as though putting your fingers in your ears makes all evidence contrary to the reality which exists only in your head disapear?

Stick to what your little book taught you to say, the second you try to improvise you make a jackass out of yourself.
