Just my 2 cents : Alexis & Helvetti are two decent atheists that as far as I can see can't be arsed to give a dam about religion . Alex hasn't really insulted anyone that didn't asked for it & Helvetti while he is quite acid has the decency to specify that his words are just opinions .

The only wacko atheists I can see so far is stOx who's acting like his been IRL buthurt by a priest or something and has the urge to try to convince people that his view are the absolute truth . The rest of the group are .... so/so .

I guess Lacely just doesn't have patience to deal whit stOx bull and would prolly slap him IRL for acting stupid :p

EDIT : It would appear that Korrupt also has the unfortunate habit of twisting words & exaggerating . Still not a final opinion .

This is the first thing Alex said directed to me to backup Stox and me arguing.
On that note, good to see someone as bad with logic as menj was, it gives us all a laugh

Slap? Get assassinated is more suitable. Only in a perfect world without laws this could be so.

How typically christian of you laceyguy, killing people who disagree. More hypocrisy from the so called "christians". What a bunch of frauds. I love how easy it is to expose the "christians" as liars and hypocrites, all you have to do is give them space to talk and they end up exposing themselves.

I'm not Christian(as stated before).

Let me ask you a question, Stox. An honest normal question. You ever gone by the name of Stewart before?

@ Korrupt - an overall great post as always. I'm amazed to know you're only 17 AND Indian; your English is fantastic! I've seen quite a few Indians here who speak English fluently, but you're one of the best. Truly impressive :)

@ApocalypseXL - Thanks, I think. XD

At the end of the day this whole thing is ridiculous. P&R is for debate. Rather than debating Lacey wants to randomly attack anyone who is friends with StOx, or who disagrees with her/him, on a personal level.

Also, Lacey, if you're an Atheist, why exactly do you have such a huge issue with the fact StOx and I are both in the same Atheist group? Simply because he created it? Or what?

What he attacked was the people. Even in this thread, he never once said "KEEL ALL TEH MUSLIMS THEY BE EVIL!". What he was pointing at was how hardcore religious people are such hypocrites.

And do you believe in God?

Where I got this from was here: -I am not attacking, I am defending and standing tall And a couple of other places, where you called yourself peaceful and such.

I do see things clearly, but you don't. This thread was about a muslim who did an "honour killing", and later turned into a flame war. And yes, I'm defending st0x and alexispetrov, but that's not because of our difference in faith, it's because you called her a tramp and formulated some kind of cyber relationship between the two.

I have different reasons for disliking you, which should be clear enough to you. And when you say "Don't bother acting like you have a clear head on the subject of agreeing or liking people around here.", you're saying that I don't know myself what I like or don't like, aren't you?
And actually, I read most the threads in the P&R and general section of this forum, but bother replying to very few of them, only when things get too heated up. I'm not an active webmaster at the moment, too busy with uni work, so don't even bother going anywhere besides the General chat and underground.

Alexis sure is, but Helvetti hates religion, as far as I can say. Still like him/her though.

You can compare him to the religious people who totally hate atheists. I've heard of people who got disowned from their family just because they didn't agree with their religious beliefs.

You can just ask me if you like :p

A perfect world...without laws...? Those things can't be in the same sentence :p

thanks xD

I don't think she's an atheist. Atleast she wasn't in the previous thread we were arguing.

Haha xD

I don't think so too, Laceyboy here is just lying that he doesn't have any religion.

If you don't have a religion then why say this?

Looks to me that God and Christianity gives you the comfort and peace inside you :)

No I'm not Muslim either, and I am really trying hard not to bash talk the Muslims. I know its tough a lot of them got a lot of things going on against them.
I'm not Atheist either. I believe God exists, err, well I know God exists but don't bother asking about that because I won't explain it. The Christians justify was to much, Atheists...well what's the point at getting into it again.
Am not. I'm just against everyone who's with Stox.
I think we all should agree that Stox does not blame the particular person. He blames the religion as whole. Something about the religion brainwashes people into doing bad things or some junk like that.
Yes, a lot of religious people are hypocrites. I place the blame at the individual unlike Stox and his friends.
Let me clarify then. I am counter-attacking.
This thread was not about the situation you state. The thread was that Stox was making yet another topic to try to prove that because some clown did something bad the whole religion is twisted and to blame.
And yeah yeah, I called her a name, she called me this, I called her that, she's dirty tramp, I'm a stupid moron with no friends, etc. It goes on and on. After 50+ plus insults back and fourth between us scattered from many topics why did you pick that particular insult from me to defend her as opposed to say a random insult she threw at me or another random insult from her? Any reason you took sides?
Cause your just another friend!
Since you read a lot around here and you were suitable to be considered an individual that has common sense then there's no way in hell you would EVER side with Stox. His 2 years of topic after topic to just to shoot down entire religions and all people in them would not sell for a person with common sense. Some people in the religions are not evil killers who rape. Some are just mothers, some are just office workers, some are just teens looking for a little peace in themselves. Stox is against them all.
You and your stupid friends all say the same thing. Quit calling me a guy. We've already been through this. If any of you care to place a bet for money I'll be more than willing to stick a damn digital camera in front of my face and throw you a picture of me with a sheet that say you all can go screw yourselves. The sad part about you all is when all is lost in argument you all seem to start mindless things to stay away from the real arguement. You all talk about spelling, grammer, and apperantly my sex. You wanna bet, I'm right here. If not, then go huddle up or something and think of another mindless thing to mouth off about. You know how stupid that sounds? "Yo, you all are girls except Alex. She's really a he." I don't even understand why you would think that. In your countries is it because there's an under population of females or something? Seriously......

People who believe in God does not mean they are in a Religion. Christianity is the closest religion I would say to myself. I did word that wrong cause I am not. I don't really have a problem with the religion of Christainity myself, nor the bible, nor God. I just don't happen to believe in the methods of the way Christains are and how the religion is. Basically things that would make Stox proud of me Ex: When there was that thing where christians were trying to outlaw gays. What is with that. Since when is Christianity a Gov't and everyone has to go by their rules. Hell, even they don't follow their rules, they justify and break them.

Anyway, I could run to a news site and find a topic where an Atheist murdered a bunch of people then laugh and say look at how stupid all Atheists are like your friends Stox.

It could be those funky little books full of commands to slaughter the unbelievers. Just a thought...

After how many years does it become acceptable to tolerate evil?

It's in one of those funky little books I mentioned earlier.

Romans 1:26-27: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet."

What you would have a hard time finding is an Atheist who murdered someone with Atheism as his primary motivation. On the other hand, just during Ramadan 2010, Muslims murdered 1,028 human beings in 226 separate attacks with religion as the primary motivation for the attacks. These people are not "murderers who just happen to be Muslims", these people are committing murder because of Islam. Islam is the motivation and the justification for these murders. Without Islam, these murders would not be committed and these people would not be murderers. This is a vastly different thing than a person who just happens to be a Christian or an Atheist or a Buddhist and murders another human being for money or out of anger. If the primary motivation is not religion, we don't blame the religion. However, if the primary motivation for murder is the religion, it only makes sense to assign a great deal of blame to the religion. Of course, that does not make the person innocent either. Both are guilty. It's joint and several liability. :p

To be fair, the way you type is a lot closer to how a typical young man would write. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, there's not at all - but if English isn't your first language that also makes sense. (Is it French BTW?)

Also, I don't recall stating that you had no friends; can you quote it? (I'm being sincere; I don't recall saying that to you. It could be because it's almost 8 AM and I've been coding all night, but if that's your justification for implying I'm a tramp, I'd like to see it so I can at least recall it.)

On that note, the definition of tramp is "a person who engages freely in promiscuous sex" - so really, I'm more of a tease. Just FYI.

Hmm it seems that some Engrish escaped my keyboard . Anyway you know what I'm saying . That religions are not all and the same . I can't remember a modern day assassinate committed in the name of Catholicism or Orthodoxism . But I certainly remember that the Islamic extremist beheaded another aid worker recently .

No, it actually isn't. The cause for people who do bad things like murder and rape is when a person gets this urge to do that bad thing then murders or/and does rape.
Depends on the person.
I know. Then a huge percentage of Christians actually ran around signing petitions and getting all together to make it illegal. I didn't read that in the verse above. See, the many Christians take the verses and make up their own religion of beliefs to do what they want. Its annoying.
Ever heard in the news where some sicko says "I am my own God and do what I please" after he's been charged with Murder?
That's because he's an Atheist who believes that there is no consequence to Sin therefore freely takes what he wants to better him or worse others. That's because of his belief. Happens all of the time.
No, English is my first language. I guess you have not been around digitalpoint. I don't run around saying "Pls give me help, pls now!".
Here, I'll help you have more evidence that I am male though, since you seem to want to continue. I like muscle cars, I can't fix them, but I like the horsepower. I've got a 93 LX with a trickflow engine in it. :)
Damn, you are right. That was Korrupt who said that. Jeez, I can't keep track of how many are in your team. Regardless, it doesn't matter how careful you are trying to be to pretend to be innocent. You've been saying bad stuff to me the whole time and I have been guilty of the same thing.

If a person commits murder in response to religious training, it is only sensible to accept that the religion played a role in that murder. If it happens once or twice a year it might be a fluke. If it happens 226 times during one month, it's a strong pattern.

I'm going to quote from Why Does Osama bin Laden Hate America:
Osama bin Laden follows a conservative form of Islam known as Wahhabi Islam. As part of his religious convictions, Osama believes that it is his sacred duty to hate non-Muslims. In his own words, “Every Muslim, from the moment they realize the distinction in their hearts, hates American, hates Jews, and hates Christians. This is a part of our belief and our religion.” Osama has also stated that “Killing Americans is the duty of any orthodox Muslim.”

This belief is derived from several passages in the Quran, include Sura 5; Verse 80, “Thou seest many of them making friends with those who disbelieve. Surely ill for them is that which they themselves send on before them: that Allah will be wroth with them and in the doom they will abide.”

Osama believes that it is the sacred duty of every Muslim to wage holy war (jihad) on all non-Muslims until they submit to Muslim rule. This belief also arises from several Quranic passages:

Sura 2; Verse 216: Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, ye know not.

Sura 8; Verse 65: O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. If there be of you twenty steadfast they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be of you a hundred (steadfast) they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a folk without intelligence.

Sura 8; Verse 66: Now hath Allah lightened your burden, for He knoweth that there is weakness in you. So if there be of you a steadfast hundred they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be of you a thousand (steadfast) they shall overcome two thousand by permission of Allah. Allah is with the steadfast.

Sura 8; Verse 67: It is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. Ye desire the lure of this world and Allah desireth (for you) the Hereafter, and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

Sura 9; Verse 5: Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Sura 9; Verse 29: Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

Sura 9; Verse 123: O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

Sura 47; Verse 4: Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain.

Osama isn't murdering people because he enjoys it, though he may very well enjoy it. He's not murdering people out of any personal urge at all -- he is merely performing his religious duty.

You are generalizing still. You are blaming ALL religions from a person acting out. Based on the Catholic and Christian faith this Ozama thing is wrong, but still from Stox and many Atheists the blame is shared. It makes no sense at all. If you generalize then you can blame pretty much anything. You can blame science for the evolution of morden weapons, blame Cows for providing food to help people have the energy to kill people. You can't do this. You have to strictly blame the person who did the wrong.

I'm not sure whose posts you're reading... My posts are labeled Will.Spencer.

Christianity has it's own history of evil, but was largely civilized during the Renaissance and Reformation. Christianity is still evil, but only in the same way that remote viewing, dowsing, auras, homeopathy, holistic medicine, remote prayer, crystal energy, curses, and hexes are evil. (List courtesy of xkcd). Christianity has, in effect, had it's claws removed. It is now relatively harmless.

So all those Germans murdering people in the 30's and 40's, it had nothing to do with them being Nazi's? That was just a coincidence? :p

Perhaps Winston Churchill is more eloquent than myself in writing about both Islam and Christianity.
