It's really not. People in Canada and Us do not tell others "they fancy someone, mate". Its a slang, I think of China Silverware with the word fancy and sailors with mate. As to being a writer, I had no idea you thought of yourself that way - especially given the lack of spelling ability and your claim that in Canada, "your" is the same as "you're". Also, why would it kill me you think of yourself as a writer? If you look at some of my previous posts you'll see I quit writing a year ago to move into something new. (I've been published in People several times. How about you?)
