The poet Sylvia Plath used to write during the wee hours of the morning, right before her little ones woke up. I find the times before and right after sunrise to be the most conducive as well. Like Plath I, too, have kids and the distraction-free and precious peace the early mornings bring me is just priceless! Plus the symbolism of the new day seems to carry with it new ideas and a fresh whiff of energy. I hate writing in the afternoons. I'd rather do something else than write because during the afternoons distractions are abound. Contrariwise, at times I'd rather do nothing, but enjoy a lazy afternoon. Nights are quiet, too. I like writing at night - used to, anyway. When I was in college I could stay up all night writing. Now, I'd rather cuddle up to my loved one. So, what's your story?
It's great to hear that you don't have any issues about writing whenever you want. I can just imagine how prolific you are.
@BuriedAlive I like that you're actually interested in writing and not just asking how to monetise/seo your blog. Please pm me your blog url, I'll include it in my directory for free if it meets the requirements.
evening and night time, even though I'm really tired, because I have a day job so I need to steal some hours at my resting....
I used to love writing during twilight hours but now it's hard to stay up that late anymore. I really like writing when the sun is outside. I write any time in the day if I'm in a coffeeshop. The muse comes out of me when I'm there. I love the atmosphere.
I usually write whenever I have the time because Im a student and I work full time. What will usually happen is I'll lay in bed and then have an idea pop into my head. Ill open notepad and write everything my crazy brain is spewing out and then Ill save it for the morning to sort out. Ill sort it out early in the morning right before I leave and then Ill try to formulate it into a thorough post to publish.
I definitely feel that morning is my most creative time of the day. I like to get up, make tea or coffee, put on some classical music, and write blog posts or work on a short story. I am also, however, a student with a job, so my schedule often dictates that I can only write later in the day...
I love writing really early in the morning, right before sunrise after a long white night. I don't know why but that's mostly the moment when a lot of things come to my mind and I write them down. It's that last impulse you have right before you go to sleep when your mind is working even if you'd really like to go to rest for a bit.
Writing a blog needs a fresh mind and a calm place. I usually right my blogs within 6:00 am to 8:00 am.
I think it would depend on what do you right about. If its based on reflection, maybe night time and if it is baed on motivation morning time would be the best.
The time doesnt matter a lot but I suggest you to write during peak hours and stay consistent with that time.
I'll write anytime when I am free inclusive office hours. I normally make several drafts. When ideas come, i'll add in bit by bit.
Actually, I don't follow a certain time period if I want to write. I just want a peaceful place where I can think and write spontaneously.
I like to write in morning. because morning is the time when day beings. Best blog visit....dreammmaker.blogspot
I don't want to sound rude but for a person who's mother tongue is not English (assume so?) you write incredibly well.
