I run a technology related blog (you can visit the by visitin the link in Recent Blog entry). The blog has 200+ pages indexed with Google. It has an alexa of 340000. And has a page rank of 2. As per Google webmasters tool, the number of internal links is 4500. According to yahoo siteexplorer it has 840+ inbound links. Can anyone suggest me as to what price should i charge per blog post (with 1 link and i write the post). Also what factors are considerer while purchasing blogroll link ? I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.
While not sure about your niche you might want to consider joining payperpost or sponsored reviews to see what they are getting for posts in a related niche. Each niche is likely different.
Thanks for letting me know about this forum. I havent even heard about it. I prefer selling blogpost directly on forums such as digitalpoint. The reason for doing so is that payperpost charge a lot for themselves. I am not selling some cheap link farm links. Anyways thanks for letting me know the estimate. No, i mean just the opposite. Ppl pay me to post a review about their blog on my site. Similar to sponsored post.
it is you who set the price based on your expectation and current market trend. you can visit the buy, sale, trade section of this forums under link sale where you will find lot of others selling similar blogposts. see what they are being sold at to get an idea
Unfortunately, until you get better traffic and pagerank, $8-$10 is about right for a blogpost that YOU write and post on your blog. A blogpost on a PR4 with 100k Alexa generally goes for about $25. Obviously the more traffic you have, the more a blogpost is worth. But in general, blogposts are purchased for the SEO benefit the will bring from having a in content link on an internal page ithw pagerank. Take a look in the BST forums, and you'll see a ton of blogposts being bought and sold. some of them are on very high quality blogs for even less than the prices I've mentioned.
Let the market decide what the appropriate $$$ is. Some may think a link is worth $5, some may see a value at $10, or $12... Personally, when i am buying a link i consider a number of quality factors before deciding if the price is right or whether i buy a link or not: -PR -backlinks -Content (is there any real, unique, interesting content, how often the content is updated or new content added) -Overall design/layout of the site -Age of the site -Domain history -Current links found on the site -Traffic ...etc
*Very* good advice. It's nice to see someone other than myself giving newbs good advice for a change. Rep given.
The going rate. The going rate is what is available to you and what assignments come along at that rate. That is determined at sites like payperpost, payingpost, sponsoredreviews, etc. That rate may vary depending on the advertiser budget. And you get to choose whether you want to accept that rate or not.
Thanks for such a genuine advice. One thing that is still unclear is what has the domain history to do with, while paying or buying sponsored posts ?
I dont really get it. I mean, i have a celeb blog which has been rejected by payperpost (due to the domain age). In this case how am i supposed to determine the cost per post ?
What i meant to say is that I would rather buy a link if the domain has a stable history, i.e the domain has not been bought & sold every few months/years, and has maintained it's specific industry/niche.
I agree with the niche thing but whats with the number of transfers, i mean transferring a domain name from one person to another wont decrease the number of backlinks the blog has or it wont affect the page rank.
