AT&T To Give $1000 Bonus To 200,000 Employees.

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by dscurlock, Dec 21, 2017.

This bonus is not by chance...

We are about to have the biggest tax increase in history,
and the biggest tax cut for the rich, and AT&T maybe implying
that they are doing something great by a one time only bonus
by giving their 200,000 employees a single $1000 bonus....
sounds great right? It will be the only bonus that these employees
will ever see (at least in mass) anyways, thats it...

AT&T maybe thinking, we are going to show we can contribute
to the economy, however, when that $1000 bonus is spent by
their employees that high will then become a low, and do very little.

This bonus to their employees is just some type of show-off
PR stunt to say "we are getting the biggest tax cut in history..."
(and that is true for the rich, unless a future present does a repeal...)

AT&T Employees: Good luck with your one time $1000 bonus...
Once this tax bill is passed, your check may increase slightly,
but when this tax cut expires for the middle/lower class, then
you will start by paying it all back in 7-8 years by getting a tax increase.
    SEMrush
I also expect if you are a CEO, then you will get a bigger bonus...
and I will not expect any growth that the govt expects to see out
of this will be very slight. The greedy will still be greedy when
companies see their taxes cut, that does not mean they will contribute
to the wellfair of this country, that is just a fact of life, and the same
goes for myself, just because I get a tax break now, that does not
mean I will spend more money, in fact, the opposite, I will be
saving up just so I can start paying it back in a few years...

It is time to start electing new leaders...
leaders that support every class fairly...
We do not need leaders that only support their own class of people.
    We can certainly do better....

IMO, AT&T expected save 2 Billion In Tax Cuts.
(so whats a one time $200m now, ROFL...)

LOL, the leftists are in a panic today as evidenced by the post above. They really do not know what to do about the fact that the tax cut got passed and the economy is going to get a huge boost (as evidenced already by the actions of many companies beyond just ATT.) Perhaps this was done in collusion with the Russians? :)

Leftists cannot face the fact that Trump has been extremely successful this year and the tax cut is an exclamation point on a fantastic year. The stock market, GDP, Unemployment, consumer confidence, small business confidence, and much more point to a fantastic 2018 and beyond. Much like when Reagan passed his tax cuts and the country prospered for a couple of decades as a result, the U.S. is now positioned for great growth and prosperity moving forward.

All the pathetic leftists can do now (and that includes low information voters, the Swamp, the lamestream media and the Democrats) is claim a vast "right-wing conspiracy" much like Crooked Hillary did in 1990's when her lecher husband was being called on his sexual assaults. Of course, they are furious that these ATT employees (and quite a few other employees, by the way) are getting $1,000 each instead of the monies going to corrupt bureaucrats in the Swamp to dole out to their cronies.

It is fun to watch their pain and suffering over the thought that workers/taxpayers are going to keep more of their own money. ;)

I know right?! How could an evil corporation ever, ever wanna give it's employees more money? Why would they care about them?!

As always, wih leftists, corporations are BAD. Obama has trained you well.

And, by the way, you failed at trying to make a great thing look bad.

That's all that leftists have left. Their policies fail consistently and the public has slowly started to smarten up about that. So, it's all about conspiracies, name-calling, etc. They have nothing else to offer except Venezuelan socialism which is the latest example of their failures.

Another good example of great times that were only temporary, and short lived, and more debt...

The irony of all this is that the govt is doing this with the expectations that corp america is going to invest...
so prior to AT&Ts decision to give away $200m only proves they already had money to invest, and shows
clearly they are hoarding their money, and I do not think AT&T is not alone either, so why does corp
america need monstrous tax cuts when they are not really investing what they have to begin with...?

    thats wired...
    ROFL...

great things look great when they are wrapped up in a pretty
package, however, once that package is opened, then you find
out that you really did not get what you paid for, then you slowly
come to realize that you got screwed again...

Want to call me political names like you guys are experts? ok...
trump is a proven liar, and this is a proven fact, and he has
been caught in numerous lies times since being elected....

I know your right-wing nuts think you are right, and I am
perfectly ok with you having your own opinions, however, I
guarantee if you take a poll on anything trump related, then
I bet this country will damn near divided in the polls, so I guess
all those people that did not vote *your* way in the polls
are just dumbass left wing idiots, right...

trump did not put food on my table...
    I did that...

trump did not buy my car...
    I did that...

trump did not buy my home/property...
I did that through hard work...

prior presidents just paved the way....
I do not care what trump has or has not
done up until this point, he has not earned my respect...

This is not about envy about trump, his money, or
even corp america, never was, my point is that
they will not do what our govt thinks they are going to do...
sure, a few companies have done little of this, or that, however,
and this is nothing more then short term PR, and it will be very short lived....

I clearly see why congress never gets anything done....
(when it comes to supporting a tax cut for their own
kind, shit, fastest thing I have ever seen to passed this
quickly in a very long time...) but you guys think this will be
a good thing, get a tax cut now, pay it back later...

if this is what you guys support...
then that is fine by me...

Do you look at past trends? I did not think so. This country has gotten
tax cuts before, and never performed how the govt expected in order to
boost the economy, if I remember correctly, the govt said when people
got their tax cut, they saved money, or paid existing bills, and this is
not really boosting the economy which includes going out, buying goods
and services, cars, homes, etc, and I am not saying no one done any
of this, I am just saying the tax cut did not perform as they expected...

I am certainly not against a tax cut, however, if you are going to give
a tax cut, then be fair to everyone, is it fair to give corporate america
a life time tax cut, and the working class just get left over crumbs?

but hey, I am a leftist, right? I hate trump, I had corp amercia, next
you will find a way to say "I hate amercia..." you simply cant see past
your own face. The only thing I am looking for is "fairness" for all....

have you actually read the tax bill or do you only know what the
surf of the bill is? sure...

1: rich will get lifetime tax cuts
2: middle class will get limited tax cuts
3: millions will lose health insurance....
(and premiums will soar for others...)

What else is in this tax plan that will supposely
be good for america? do you even know?

I know for a fact, that whatever has been done in the past such
as tax cuts is nothing more then a temporarily solution, but this
is different, you do not seem to care the debt will increase by $1.5
trillion $$$, maybe even more, which normally means if the govt
loses money in one area, then they find ways to make it up in others....

I am not against getting a tax cut...
but I know who is going to pay for it later...
since I am not part of the rich, then I will be...
If you are not rich, then you will be paying it back too...

what appears or seems to be good now by giving a
tax cut is nothing more then an clever illusion....
and why should trump care, he will not be the one
paying it back, he will be the one laughing all the way to the bank...

(and I am not against him being rich, but what is going on is not
fair for all, this plan was only for the rich, and no one else...)

    p.s.

I do not care what a few companies have done thus far...
AT&T was nothing more then a PR stunt; oh wait, does
AT&T have a history of giving every employee a bonus (at the same time)?
not that I am aware of. AT&T was just saying a one time
thank you for giving us a $2 billion/yr tax break....
(AT&T is bragging about it, nothing more...)

Leftist ignorance is truly bliss. It turns out (if you are willing to deal with facts) that the Top 20% of earners pay 90% of all taxes. A full 50% of adult citizens on the other end pay no taxes. Exactly how is your above statement to be reconciled with these facts? Simply repeating baseless slogans about how things will play out that you hear from the lamestream media and their co-conspirators does not make for a strong argument.

And, while Reagan's economic miracle was only good for about 20 years (mostly because the Democrats sabotaged it at every turn) it was a great run and many, many people benefitted from it. Would LOVE to have another "temporary" boom like that again!

Biggest Tax Increase is being signed off right now by trump...

IMO, you want to drag this conversation in the direction you want it to go...
I am simply saying why not be fair to all, other then the rich, then those that
"DO" pay taxes will get a tax increase in 7-8 years?

you want to twist things up and confuse people, what is it about the numbers?
obviously this does not apply to those that never pay taxes, so what?

you still can not see past your own ideas...

let us enjoy these tax breaks now...
those that do pay taxes will get a tax increase in 7-8 years...
and the rich keep their lifetime tax cuts...
(tax cuts they never needed to begin with...)

lets say america enjoys this for 7-8 years, what then? does america
get bigger and stronger, or do we just circle back from hence we started?

some call this kicking the can down the road...
lets party now, and hope things get better in the future...
(and that is exactly what is going on...)

I would like to see a boom also...
    (however, at whos expense?)

Since this law as been signed into office...
I just cant see to see all the hidden stuff that
no one really knows about, and that does not
include the biggest tax increase in history....

I actually care about the overall health of our country...
all you care about is the trash-shit that is included in
these bills that will be self-serving to yourself, as long
as I get the benefit, fuck everyone else, and they can
pay it all back later, and who cares if this leads this
country deeper in deeper. I do not want to earn
my way, I just want the govt to give it to me now...
(this appears to be exactly how you think....)

It looks like you got your way...even though you want
to pretend this will be good for america, well, I am
a bit more realistic, and time will only tell....

(I hope you are right, maybe this will be great for america,
or it could be the worst thing trump has done, but hey,
you did not expect optimism from a left wing nut, right?)

    What goes up now...
    Will come down later...
    Guaranteed...

LOL, tax reform can only affect those people (the makers) who are actually paying taxes. Turns out that the "rich" pay the vast majority of taxes so any tax reform will affect them most. Mathematics is funny that way. Your mentors on the Left have been trying to make "boogeymen" out of the people who have made wealth for themselves and others for decades. That is because the "rich" are easy targets for the envious. The Left are envious of the "rich" because they do not have more of the "rich" money to appropriate for themselves to control. That is all that this is: a discussion of who should control someone's wealth. The Left feels that all money belongs to them. The people who worked to earn it, not so much. Of course, nowhere in this discussion of "fairness" and "massive debts of the future", do I hear a single word about, gulp, cutting government spending to help curb the debt and make the tax cuts permanent.

Wow, real deep insight. Of course, all economies are cyclical. However, the Kenyan proved that bad policies can keep the economy in the down part of a cycle much longer than normal. We had eight years of a socialist in the Oval Office who was hellbent on harming the country and that was the primary reason for the horrible recovery that we had until Trump took office. And the numbers, not boogeyman hysterics, back this up.

The left are happy if it's the govertnment distributing wealth...

If corporations do it - BAD!

Keeping in mind that when a corporation distributes wealth, it is distributing its own, self-created wealth. Government does not create wealth, it just takes wealth from one person and gives it to another.

According to a Democrat politician (Pelosi?), $1000 tax cut is paltry (compared to Obama's 40$).

Yes, it was Pelosi who called all of the bonuses "crumbs" because she is herself a millionaire for whom $1,000 means nothing. People who think that the Democrats are the party of the "common man" are allowing themselves to be fooled by the fake news media.
