I have been looking for a simple classifieds script that people can use to post ads without signing up or without email verification. Also I wanted paid options for featured ads. I FOUND IT!!! It has taken me all day to modify the script, colours, prices, categories, cities, countrys etc etc, but I have finally done it, tested it and it all seems to work ok. Please let me know what you think. It is new, I bought the domain name this morning, that is how new it is! I wanted it to be very similar to Gumtree, I think Ive done it.

Let me know what you all think.

    Cheers

    Simon

    Simon,

The scripting looks good but the color scheme left my eyes hurting a little bit. It made me want to leave the site. I would suggest a different background font color combination.

After all we want the visitors to Stay doon't we :)

The background color of it does not fit the website. Green is not the sites color. Go neutral.

This is only a suggestion. I would try maybe a light grey.

Try something softer maybe even #EAF4E9 or even lighter. That is the color of this BG here.

The Yellow is still showing up very bright for me. A couple minutes staring at that would have my eyes really hurting me.

    Try something softer, lighter.

I agree with the bg color issue. yellow is not working for me, maybe try white or an off-white and see how that looks. Other than that I think the layout is great and the site is very functional.

You must change the colours, it’s really spoils your site. Maybe try with some grey and blue combination. And use some good text font for your title then you’ll make it.

Ok, hows that? I think it looks a lot better with a cream background, light green borders and blue calender. I checked it out on a different monitor at an internet cafe and my friends agreed it looks a lot more friendly and easy to view. Your thoughts. Thankyou again for the help.

Ok, I changed it again! I added a logo and used, what I think, much better colours. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Thankyou again.

I Like the logo, although for me the directory looks...cramped...stuffed with empty categories. Those categories aren't going to fill themselves.
If it were me, I'd load up the categories with affiliate links and have each category contain a vibrant selection of offerings...there's nothing that discourages posters more than a bunch of zeros next categories. That true of directories and forums as well as classified sites.
