At first i thought QBC....now im confused

Well this is certainly a deadly sin.

Bidding directories. We all know about ethical practices. No fake bids. No increasing bids.

I dont even think chris would do this himself....surely not. If he did make these bids then COME BID HIGHER ON THE REST OF OURS :D

anyway, back to the matter in hand.

http://www.dollarlinking.com/ is the site i'm talking about. Its PR N/A.

    Then i checked

I thought it may be a severe QBC act. Then i thought i would look a noob here if i was wrong. So i checked archive.org

    http://web.archive.org/web/20070321030316/http://dollarlinking.com/

It seems it had bids being increased gradually over time. Then i saw the iwebtool logo. So it can't be QBC.

Then john rang told me it got de-indexed.

But why would google do that to a business? All that cash invested in it by people like chris.

    What the hell happened?

    Mike

That site was banned by google, thats why no PR, and yes chris did make those bids when it did have PR

why it got banned no reason, I think because it had no content, all it did was sell links.

    Hello...

Why it got de-indexed is unknown to me..

I do know that it made the creation of categories as everyone
started adding categories like crazy so...

Its possible it was that or something that google evidently didint appreciate

    thx

Yes, I made the bids back at that time. It had PR then and used to send decent traffic too.

Wow, had no idea they were de-index'ing bid directories with this structure, can anyone confirm this or show other similar sites that got de-indexed.

Anyways all the more reason to submit to my new unique bidding directory, I just added six unique articles to the site and show bidding via points as opposed to $$.

Google is not. It is specific to this site. Apparently, Google didn't like something.

If it is still indexed and not showing page rank perhaps the site title or something like that was changed?

I think he meant other bid directories started adding categories.

Think --think--think. There is a similiarity with the site we are talking:p
If I remember correctly it was a PR8 site ( I listed it there --but again NOT SURE- I might be wrong.)

The site has been online since Oct. 1999
