Astroland closing down in coney island. This land mark is gone for good a place where in my teens and before then and in my adult years apart of me will never be the same. There roller coaster the cyclone is one of the top 10 in wooden roller coasters. A part of new york will never be the same. For the people that does not know about coney island it is I believe the first to have board walks and arcades and astro land was the largest part arcades, rides, cotton candy, salt water taffy so much more and now its gone good bye astro land .
I'm originally a Brooklyn girl myself, so I feel your pain. Definitely sad, but we've known it was coming for a while. I was just glad I made my way over to Coney Island last summer one last time.
