aStore - question about designing

    Hello,

Before Xmas I wanna start an electronics and toys shop.
I decided to try aStore because it will save me a lot of time but do you think that someone will really buy from my aStore ?
I mean for me it seems like "dead" store. I mean no graphics, nothing.
I thought I can use it with Iframe so I can add my own logo, banners and stuff like that but then I can't redirect customers for specific pages.

I'm going to do PPC .

Do you know anyone who make\made money with aStore ?

    Thanks.

I'm not sure about banner, but I think you can add your own logo

Those aStores do look a little bland, but with the proper targeted traffic you can easily make some sales. I earned a few last season with using a lil Adword money and nothing but an Astore. You just have to be careful though, because those cookies don't last too long and there is a lot of competition out there right now.

I have tried designing about half a dozen niche stores and had no luck with any of them. This is not a statement about the viability of astores. Just sharing my experience.

Yeah I have very little experience with building these things, but right now I'm in the process of building an astore. The problem though, is I hate the way it looks.

Has anybody had better experience building these "niche stores" with Commission Junction? The ebay stores look much better. Wanted some input before I drop the $95...

As I understand it, you have to have a website to register as an Associate, but you don't necessarily have to use that site.

Could well be wrong though.. certainly wouldn't be the first time ;)

some are using blogs site. I strongly believe you can have a good combination with blog and astore. astore alone will be tough.

I've tried using PPC to power Amazon Associate sales, but it's time consuming, because you have to do a lot of research on products and even just using Google Adwords is so cumbersome. Don't get me wrong, I've done it and I help other people manage theirs, but it's just so tedious to do although results can be realized.

    Hope this post was helpful.

    Happy Selling!,

Although I am planning on setting up an independent store with AOM, I really like the way the aStore embeds in my blog.
If I make any "real" money with it remains to be seen.
    Example
You just can't simply set up an aStore, and just leave it all alone...you have to have something to go with it..a blog, website...something.
You will not make any money with just a stand alone , default aStore.
