Hi I am a newbie to CJ, allthouth I have been doing some affiliate stuff with other cpa networks like azoogle. What I am wondering is, Can I assume that direct ppc traffic to the merchant site is OK if there is no mention of it in the merchant description? THanks!
My advice would be not to and always check. I had one advertiser say they encourage PPC so long as we don't use their display URL and don't bid on any keywords with their brandname in. Lo and behold a few weeks (and several hundred pounds of clicks) later I got a threatening email saying my account would be deleted if I continued to send traffic direct to home page. I'd check with each advertiser individually - just be prepared for a delayed response if I were you!
it's always a good idea to check the advertiser details. On the "Get Links" table you will see ways to promote the advertiser. If you see a "keyword link" in there that means they allow you to use PPC in promoting their program. But then again there are some more instructions, Click on it and you will see the advertiser's instruction on how to promote their program in PPCs.
