What are some tips for me while writing computer related, how-to guides on Associated Content? I submitted 2 articles so far, they were my first 2, I havn't gotten any feedback yet, it been a few days. Anyways, any suggestions for writing? Or getting a bigger chance of them publishing my articles? What else can I write about that is computer related besides how-to guides?
I would suggest taking a look at some of the first page articles and see what they have in them. Mainly, include keywords at the correct density for SEO purposes. Include non-biased content and give the reader what they want. Also, include a title that relates to the article.

I've been submitting to AC for quite a while and my main advice would be to not pigeon hole yourself to only the computer/tech niche. AC likes "expert in fields" but it something you have to build up slowly over time. If you're submitting everything in the same niche, you'll start to see your upfront payment offers lowered and possibly have perfectly good articles rejected. Some of the niches that do well are travel guides, home improvement tutorials and anything that's tightly focused on searchable keywords. The other key factor is making sure that the keywords you're focusing your articles on are not already done to death at AC. I recently reached a clout 10 and noticed my upfront payment offers jump to $5.75-$6.39. By using tightly focused keywords, you'll draw a lot more organic traffic to your articles. The higher your clout goes, the more AC will invest in your upfront payments. Here's another thread here at DP where I talk about some of my AC strategies. Hopefully it helps some. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1491570&page=2#post12821866
Thanks, I know that you and your son are doing this. I already read that big thread about it. Thanks for the tips, they did help.
