Designing - Making a template, means background, menu, buttons, everything that 'looks'.

    No, you need only photoshop.

Then you need to code that website, you can hire someone to use your design or do it yourself, it's html + css.

I would suggest you to make a design only, coding is actually really boring.

Um, I beg to differ, coding is actually fun in a twisted way. Nothing like starting to learn everything from scratch, having a perfect website, then find out, like I recently did a damn '/' -slash- symbol grounded the entire site. Oh the joy of going over 200 pages of html to find that.... hahahahaha

    But I agree with gigusx.
I actually recommend starting with pen and paper, especially if you aren't good with PS, I'm terrible with it. Then when your paper version is finished try coding some of the base structure for the site while watching tutorials on how to make things in PS or the free range alternatives.

Overall it's a very fun experience seeing a blank page go from white and terrible 1990's looking graphics and text, when you first start, to rounded, clear, gratifying, mezmerizing works of art when you're done.

A good website where many start to learn is W3schools.
I only wish I'd actually 'done it' when I first said I would all those years ago.
Therefore no longer delay, start today, hooray! what a corny rhyme that was.....hahahaha

good luck on this adventure my friend, no doubt at one point or another you'll need it. ;)

Wrong you only need Fireworks and Dreamweaver and you need them both if you want the job done yourself . Photoshop and Illustrator are the tools of the trade , with Dreamweaver being the must have and Flash adding the spice .

But i do agree that coding is hard and boring . I hate it :p I'd rather do portrait in vectors rather then write code .
