ad_network_ads.txt file seems to be collecting all the ads that are running. Is this normal?

I also notice my first ad is not displaying at the moment. All other 4 ads do show, so I have a missing spot for some reason.

Anyone run into this? Is this a known problem with this script? Or is this a back end thing causing the problem.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

Thank you it works! But since I put Google ads, within a week, Coop ad stopped working only on the index page!? It works everywhere else and it is the same include, all paths OK... Today I say on my index page an ad from Ad Network asking me to update the code! Strange... It worked on my index page!

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you,
    Rod

Sure, but is Shawn's technology going to make it stop working like he said the old PHP version will? How does Shawn disable the php files? I haven't looked at the code too much, but I'm betting they stop validating by not having valid class attributes or something...

    Hey folks,

I am trying to get the ASP version of the Ads Network to work but I am recieving "ad_network.php file needs updating". Looks like the website is communicating with the COOP and the .TXT is being written to. The way the site is written/configured I have to use the virtual parameter in the include and am not able to use the file parameter.

Any ideas? You can view the problem live at www . leatherpages . com.

    Thanks in advance.
    Frank

FYI, i've visited a few of the sites of fellow co-opers that are using the ASP version and it seems that we are all getting the "ad_network.php file needs updating".

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

I've got the same problem. If I could read / undstand php, I'd be able to troubleshoot the problem in the asp code. Since I can't, well, you get the idea.

On one of my domains, I renamed the network ads text file and created a new file. Every time it ended up with a message that the php needs to be updated. I'm not sure why this is. Obviously something in the asp needs to be changed. I have no idea what it is since I don't know how the php version works. If there were some documentation on the php version, then I could troubleshoot the asp version. :(

mopacfun, don't get too wired about it just yet. I think what has happened is that Shawn has done an update on his PHP file and the author of the ASP file has to make revisions to make things happen. I have contacted the author of the ASP version and will post info as I find out more.
