I have couple of years experience in classic asp. I also having experience of vbsciript, javascript, css and somewhat c. Now I need to choose asp.net or php ? what should I learn? which will be more easier to me ? so I can learn it quickly ? any good website to start? Thank you.
Logically you'd have to expect ASP.net to be the easier one but PHP is pretty simple too. What type of work are you expecting to do? professional/full time or hobby/part time? If part time what will you be doing the rest of your time? I had an interesting scenario many, many years ago when I was coding at work in one language where a ; meant the command continued to the next line and working my sites in PHP at night where a ; means the command is completed. So annoying and a simple enough thing - however if I'd had the choice of using the same language in my day job as well as my hobby I'd have taken it as both tasks would have improved my skills and benefited the other.
