ASO hosting sucks

I created an account with asmallorange hosting 3 days ago and been having problems ever since. I am trying to setup WordPress and PHPBB2 and I can't do it for any of my addon domains. It works fine for my primary domain but addon domains it gives this error:

This cpanel version does not support subdomain path detection, please contact your host.

Anybody every come across this issue?

I've been going back and forth with tech support for the past 2 days and they haven't been able to fix this. Their Cpanel version is: 10.6.0-RELEASE 147

I have another account with a different host and everything works there. They have Cpanel version: 10.6.0-CURRENT 157.

I don't know if an upgrade in ASO will solve the problem though and I don't know if ASO will be willing to do it.

If anyone has come across this issue please reply. I really don't want to terminate my account because of this. ASO has quick tech support response, just that they don't know what they are doing:mad:

I contacted the owner with this report. There is something up over there that I agree needs his attention.

Tim the owner is top notch IMO. But I have had similar bad experiences with the general tech support.

In all fairness, this does appear to be a bug in Fantastico: netenberg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3130 We've done our best to try and fix it, but it's something the Fantastico guys have to fix for us at this point. There's really not much we can do.

For now, your best bet is to just install phpBB2 the old-fashioned way.
