Google has started using phone to verify owner access to emails. In this case you must get hold of the phone sim of the email account owner. This way only can you access the email. Is yahoo planning to do so?

I believe I was asked to add a phone number to my Yahoo e-mail account recently. It could have been Google, but I'm pretty sure it was my Yahoo e-mail.

I'm sure that if they haven't yet they are going to start soon to prevent spammers from continuing to create mass email accounts through them

That's a great point. Phone verified accounts won't do away with spam, but it may help limit it a bit.

and Besides spam prevention, our Yahoo accounts will also be more secured, as an account hacker won't be able to Hijack them. Yahoo should really look forward towards all that, as it is in for their own good, but they surely need to invest in this section, as all such things would come at a price!
