Asking to a big affiliate: "Hey put this conversion code in your web site"

Any experience in requesting to a big affiliate advertiser that you promote to put a conversion code in his web site?

I'm talking about a big advertiser company, I am not talking a huge one like Amazon that would laugh or ignore about requests about that.

Any one has experienced to request big affiliates advertises to put the conversion code there? They normally put the code or don't put the tracking code? - is a bad idea to request things like that?

    Thanks

Unless you're generating a TON of sales for them I would be shocked if they would include your conversion code (AdWords or other) on their site.

they are probably more likely to say - don't use adwords to promote the affiliate links.

    Yes, very true.

this month probably we will do $3,000/mo sales for them.

I'm planning to ask this when we reach $10,000/mo
I think that he will not shut something like: what are you asking? you are just 0,0001% of my sales!!!

I have had this done for me before. But only because I was making an obscene ammount of sales.

The fact is if that you are new promoting their product/software or anything else, chances are they wont bother.

A case of once you prove yourself, they will spend more time keeping you happy. But even then some wont, which is annoying especially if you are pulling large volumes.
