In the context of the Internet, copy writing (or copy writing) is mostly termed as online copy writing and that means copy writing for websites. Copy writing is a term derived from advertising. It basically means writing promotional literature whether it’s an advertisement, a sales copy, or a website’s home page prompting people to buy something. As I mentioned, it’s promotional literature and it contains lots of action words such “doâ€, “buyâ€, “contactâ€, “earnâ€, “get wellâ€, “hire usâ€, etc. Copy writing highlights the benefits of a product or a service in order to sell it. Copy writing is highly interactive; it directly talks to the reader and it involves lots of emotions (buying, most of the times, is an emotional action).
*smacks he1stman upside the head* Look, dip dong, either learn how to write English, or find boards in your own language. Damn. .. Am I the only one here who is so sick and tired of these Gomers from other countries writing like shit?
It's okay and there is no need no feel bad about it. The enlightened gentleman above has a habit of ridiculing others, forgetting that not all those who visit English language based forums, are necessarily fluent in English. Just forgive him.
Why would anyone want to give an answer to someone as lazy as the original poster? "What is copywriting?" Well, if you're that lazy, you don't need to know what copywriting is.
You know that if you go to school you can learn English before you finish high-school ? Do you really expect the guy to be a good webmaster even thou he can barely use a foreign language ?
And even worst, many of those visitors who aren't fluent in English are American or British native speakers!!!!
My old client and now Internet friend is from India, and amazing enough, not only does he have a better grasp of our language than many Americans do, but he also pays the going rate for a professional copywriter ($75-$125 an hour), while so many Americans don't. Go figure. Strange world we live in.
for someone with good in english, i think this forum make me desperate. because i just want to know what is copywriting for? nothing else
