[ask]What is better, New Version or Old version?

i just want to ask to DP Member, if you use a GA. What is better? new version or old version?

For me, i really like new version look. but i need to understanding new features to in there..

Always new version is better than old bacause new version always comes over old version's week point. Its obvious that it takes time to learn but bettr is new.

 

Old Interface is better that new version...

Personal preference, but I like the new version of analytics better. Just takes a little getting use to

 

The new version is always better then old version. I like the new version. Perhaps you would take some time to understand it but after you also be fine with the new one.

Well, I was at a lecture yesterday where we learned about Google Analytics. He talked mostly about the old version, but also the new. Google Analytics v5 has some new features. One of the feature is that now you can track whenever a user clicks on a download link, javascript event or pretty much what ever you like. In the old v4 you shouldn't be able to do this, atleast not of what I know of.
But also the interface have gotten great improvements to make it more user friendly.

There's probably a lot more advanced feature that have come with the v5.

 

New version is probably better, but it's hard to change to since I've used the old for so long.

 

I go for the new versions because of its improved interface. There is lot of improvements in the interface of the newer version compared to the older

 

A new version comprises with some extra features so obiviously it is good but due to lack of time and more familarity with old verion some people prefer old .

 

Old version is best,because it's very friendly for users, I'm still using OLDER version,and I will use till it available

 

New version is great from old version. keep in mind new version comes from latest technique with new features as well.

 

Google Analytics - Version 5 has come up with a few news features. When it comes to analysis, these features are really helpful in many ways, depending on the intention you are using them. I really love the latest version, although it used to be a bit hard to understand all the features during the first phase. Now I am used to it and I love it.

 

Suresh, with due respect on you and your experience, I would rather choose to differ from you on this. Its not always that the new version is better than the immediate older one. I will explain with the help of blogger's new feature. I have found that in the older version the image embedding feature was excellent , as it used to allow me to stretch it to re-size it according to my own will, while in the current upgraded version the feature has three option to re-size an image - viz. large, medium and small. Now if i wish to re-size it to a dimension between large and medium, I can't do it. This is no way related to the discussion on Google Analytics. Its just an example I wished to give to describe that its not alwasy true that the new version is better than the older ones.

 

both. I love new version because it provide more analysis details. I love old version because it able to show the traffic of the day in the morning while new version need to wait until afternoon only show the result of the day.
