is server location related to serp? i'm from indonesia and i use local hosting service. however, the server is located in US. is this gonna affect my blog serp?
Some will say it will, some will say it won't. I think that wherever location the server your website is hosted on does not matter. What matters is you have your SEO down pat and your website is optimized. Another thing to make sure of is that your pages, and website on the whole, loads fast. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
off course it's affected on serp. basically when you generate the back links for your site. you need to generate back links from which country where your server is located.
It should not affect your SERP but if you want to experiment with you can set the Geographic location (Country) in Google Webmaster account in case you want your visitors from a specific region.
It has slighly effect but not big effect. The main reason is just due to the server directly affect your loading speed
visitors IP has effect in yourwebpage rank too ! How ? If your website has many user from many countries , it means that your site is an international website and this kind of site has higher rank in Google robots ! I offer visit here too :http://indexhttp.com/2011/11/20/special-seo-service/
IMO, Yes...the location of server does matter in small proportion. because from the location of the server, Google identify the region of the website and but we also have found that its not necessarily that a website located on USA server can't be optimize for any other region. It is a matter of the impact in some proportion.
Well server location only matters when you are trying to go for and ranking a local website on a international search engine..... As the server locations of most websites are located in US, hence they are considered to be global.... Visible to all domains of local search engines.....
What do you mean you need to generate backlinks from the country where your server is located? Do you mean you need to generate backlinks from the same country where your website is hosted? This is the first I've heard of that. I do not think where your website is hosted matters, save for the fact you need to make sure that your pages load as fast as possible for users across all browsers/systems. There are websites hosted in various parts of the world but rank #1 wherever you are because they have relevance, quality and backlinks coming from all over the globe.
This is purely personal preference as there are numerous webhosts providing the same services at various prices. It depends on what you want in a webhost. I always look at webhost's dependability and quality of support. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
