    Hi,

    I have some trouble that confusing me, because my client push me almost all the time about this thing.

    The problem is started like this, I have developed the website with PHP. after everything have finished, i tested it at my PC & my client PC, an the result was everthing running properly, it means that everything was running the same between my PC and my client's PC.

    N then, for upgrading i redevelop that website, add some navigation buttons, and some features in it. after finish, everthing is running properly at my PC, but not when he test it at his PC and at the PC in his office. I mean several function is still use the last version as before i redevelop it.

    for example:

    - The admin page is still use the old version, i mean all new button at the menu bar is disappear.

    - The redirect function after member login shouldn't has any problem as tested at my pC, but it's hang (page not redirected to the page speciafied), i already fixed it up, but not working at his PC

    And for you information, he is only use IE browser but i dont know the version, and he doesnt want to use another like firefox or something like for any reason.

    my conclusion is, his browser doesnt take the page from server but maybe it save the old version of the page and open it when we request the same page. because the content of the file from server specified have changed.

    My questions are:

    1. what is the problem with this website, did i do any mistake with the php script?

    2. Why it's only happen on his PC at home & at his office ( 2 different computers) i've asked my other friends to check, but it is ok on their PC.

    3. Is this about browser problem (IE)? if yes but why it is only happen to my website?

    4. Why the different thing are only at several things, not entire the website.

    5. what should i do to solve this problem because i dont have any idea about this

    Kind regards

    Are you using a lot of javascript for redirection or other things? Compare your IE version with his and post back here.

    Possible solutions:
    1. Make sure his page isn't cached
    2. Make sure your not working locally
    3. Make sure you uploaded to proper server
    4. Make sure the domain is resolving to the same ip on both computers

    I've had similar issues in the past and it usually is one of these issues.

    @mwasif
    - i use this script to redirect the page.
    header( "refresh: 2; url=../index.php?ctnt=EditNews&ctry=$ctry" );
    PHP:
    - He is using IE 6 and also mine.

    @c4st
    - How do i know his page isn't cached, and if so how to solve this chaced

    - Yes i'm sure that i uploaded it to the right server and not locally, because when i ask my other friends to try the pages online, they are running properly under IE or firefox.

    - yes i'm sure the domain is resolving to the same ip on both computers, because, several pages is still running properly on his computer at home or office.

    I'm really sure that the page which loaded by his PC at home or office is the old version of the website page, i've seen it. i can say that because it appearing the old design and layout. so it's mean that his browser is not refreshing the page with the new one version. and the file name between the old version & the new one is the same. i only redownload it, modified it and reuplaod it again to the server.

    Further question from me:

    - Why it's only happen to several page of the website.? (some pages running well with the new edited page)

    - Why it is not happening to another website, so i wonder if my php script have any trouble in it.

    Thank you very much for your help.

    Make sure that he has the latest java installed. I have had the exact same problems where I use javascripts to redirect pages.

    I really don't think that this is a php problem as php is rendered at the server end, so it sends the exact same page to everyone. The problem is clearly at the client end, which is where javascripts run, so check that.

    I'm not really sure where to download it as I usually get the IT admin guys to do that. If no-one here posts back a link then I can find out for you, but you're going to have to post here to ask for it, or PM me so I don't forget.
