Ask how to buy a high PR domain name

Hi all, i am a newbie here, need some information relating with domain name. Can anyone tell me how to buy a right domain name especially for high PR? My experience is everytime i bought the high PR domin name, the result always no satisfying me, it means that after i received the domain name always back to zero. Actually before i buy a domain i always check both backlink and validation, but still drop directly after they transfer the domain to me. Can anyone help me what should i check to buy a right high PR domain name?

You have to build backlinks if you want to build a high PR , or for just maintaining it. I prefer to buy new Domain , keep it for sometime then do some back linking and sell it afterwards.

 

Well you would keep the same content or any other?If you would choose any other than its rank can go down

 

actually, i choose the same topic like previous topic before, after i bought the domain name for example PR 3 and maybe 2-3 days then i start creating a website but around 1 or 2 weeks later my domain suddently dropped become "Zero", this happend three times for me. is it possible if they withdraw back all their backlink after they sell it? so that the domain dropped fast. can anyone recommend mehow to buy a VALID high domain name? thx

 

I think it's a hit and miss when it comes to buying a high PR domain name. There are always possibility for the PR to drop, but you can increase the possibility to maintain the PR by adding content immediately after buying it. Transfer the nameservers to your host and build a blog with minimum 10 posts, unique content would be better.

If you do this, when google crawl your site they will see that it's updated and not some empty site, this will increase the chance to maintain your PR. Also whn you bought the domain from a seller, ask him to provide the content. I did this and I managed to keep the PR most of the time.

 

thx for giving me some usefull advice terra, so there still have a chance to bring PR back right by adding article immediately. and i usually use both watchbacklink.com and checkpagerank.us to determine like age,valid or not,backlink and PR, do you think is enough analysis to show that this domain name is really have a high PR? if you don't mind terra, what kind of analyzing domain high PR before you buy it?thx so much

 

watchbacklink.com domain expired and checkpagerank.us is not giving valid and correct data about the domain. For Facebook.com it is displaying Pagerank seems to be forged!, 0 Google Backlinks but actual 6,060 backlinks are on Google.

 

No not to bring the PR back, but to maintain the PR after you buy the domain. If your PR already dropped, I believe it would be harder to get it back.

I used http://www.checkpagerank.net combined with few other PR checking site, but I haven't buy any PR domains lately so things might change a little.

 

Just always create good backlinks to your site so it won't lose its pr.

 

Pagerank is a measure of quality of backlinks, authority, age and content etc. If PR of your domains is sometimes dropped it may (but not necessarily) mean that any of these characters is devaluated. For example PR of a domain may simply drop because of change of owner, change of name servers, change of age (in case the domain was dropped its age is reset) or change of content. PR is however not updated instantly, and it is quite possible that penalization of any of these devaluation may occur after the seller transfers the domain to your account.

What is in our hands is to reduce the effect of devaluation, it never hurts of keep building more links after buying a high PR domain. We can compensate the 404 errors of previously indexed pages with more and more fresh content. We must do everything we do on a new domain to improve the PR. Now since you already have many backlinks, even if you loose your Pagerank, it would be much easier to get your PR back on that domain compared to getting PR on a new domain.

I can also give you some tips while buying a PR domain, but I assume that you already know the basics of checking authority of a PR domain. So I add these points:

+1. Do not count on homepage (sidebar or header or footer) backlinks. A website may be PR5 just because of effect of backlink on the homepage of PR6 website, but this PR is dependent, the seller may be renting that link and can remove it anytime.
+2. Foreign language backlinks are not very good for you. A High PR domain due to backlinks from Chinese backlinks is not as good as a domain with english backlinks, if you are going to write in english. you may loose your PR in that case.
+3. Do not buy a PR domain which is recently re-registered. A seller maybe selling a PR domain which is just registered yesterday, better wait for a couple of months for a PR update. or simply buy dropped domains only at least 3 months old.
