I was really bored and I searched for 'what sucks' and Google gave me a prompt response that AWTY SUCKS... (Apparently, AWTY is a private school from TX). and Google's search results said that AWTY sucks According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awty_International_School. I really do not understand why the term AWTY is even associated with 'sucks' because 'sucks' does not appear on the Wikipedia page (not even in the history). I was just wondering why this strange result (well... technically not a result) appears... any ideas?
You got an Austin result, because you are in Austin. I just searched the same and found very different websites. Sounds like that page was google-bombed and somehow google did not clean that out in the recent google-bomb algorithm change. Did you do this search recently (as in the last week)?
Just shows that google didn't exactly clean up their algo enough to remove all google bombs. Looks like they need to tweak the algo a little more. LOL!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: It is not possible to remove Google bombs. That would totally change the way Google works.
I also get the wiki AWTY #1 result in California. A while back, I also wondered what (and who) sucks. So I asked Google. Here are the answers - http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/politics/who-sucks.htm I'm sorry that it is a little dated now, but you get the idea. If any result is not believable, just test it yourself, by typing in - "subjectname sucks". Works great. Why wonder? Just let Google tell you!
This is definitely not a Google bomb, but it is a supplemental result that Google tries to give, usually from Wikipedia and Dictionary.com. Seems like the algorithm for these supplementary results has a few bugs.
