Am I out of my mind or did I hear somewhere that Ask.com is now trying to target women with it's search function? It's no longer trying to compete with the Google's and Yahoo's of the world, instead trying to verticalize it's offering for women?

Yes! according to Dave Rosenberg, he is all for Ask.com targeting their product, but going after "married women primarily living in the southern and midwestern United States" seems like a death march.

I guess the power of Google really can't be beat...Microsoft should start targeting teens in the Ozarks as they realize they can't compete.

this is old news, but it could be good for them as they were losing money competing with google
