I have also written about it in my sitemaps blog post Anyways, the gist is that: Ask.com now supports XML sitemaps. You can link to your XML sitemaps file from robots.txt.
Can you provide the syntax to do that in the robots file? I don't think I will get any real traffic from Ask, but why not?
according to: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/04/whats-new-with-sitemapsorg.html You can just add this line: Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml
Yep. Actually, I had also included that information in my blog post Anyways, I think it will help adoption of XML sitemaps, both by users and search engines.
Nice, i've updated my robots.txt file and submitted it http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=SitemapUrl
Could you give me more details? Ask.com spider never crawls my website. Does any websites get traffic from ask.com? Currently most of the traffic were sent by google.
It's in my sitemap, and I can see that it is being accessed by my log files. No clue if it's helping, but why not do it, right?
