ask: Broad and "Phrase" match type

    when using google keyword tool, we can see match type options on the bottom left corner. what is the between thicking the Broad match type and the "Phrase" match type? how does it affect our research?

    It affects it alot if you know how to do your keyword research

    Don't look for either of those, look for the [exact] search count as that's the exact number that is being searched for that particular keyword.

    A keyword can have 500,000 BROAD searches but 100 [exact searches]. A keyword like that is pretty much worthless :)

    thanks, man! the other problem is keywords with good amount of exact searches have pretty high competition. it's hard to find good exact searches keywords with low competition.

    thats what you have to analyse the keyword search with your competitors.... so you can get the idea of exact keyword based on your site

    Hi .


    In Google Ad words keyword tool .

    Three type of Match Available
    1 - Bold (all search related to keyword )
    2 exact ( Only keyword search )
    3- phrase ( Exact keyword in Phase , keyword used in Phrase )

    I think , this is a Clear idea about Google Keyword tool.

    You can try Phrase matches and exact matches ...do not use broad searches if u are looking for targeted traffic..:)
