    hi all.. just ask ..
    can i register a domain like this ?
    example : acerlaptop.com or newacerlaptop.com ?

    is it violate copyright or not ?
    because, in my country, someone has been sued because he has a domain : sony-ak.com. He has been sued by sony corp. because the almost similar name ..

    can you guys answer my questions ..

    Nope, doesn't violate copyright. However it does violate trademarks. And yup, you can get sued.

    It depends on your intention. Everyone can sue anyone. The case that you mention about Sony is unrelated as the owner of that blog is using his name initials and for totally different reasons, in your case you want to register "acer laptop" which clarifies your intention.
    So you have a good chance of bring screwed by acer.
