Note: Firefox.org is not affiliated with Mozilla. I've owned the domain longer than Mozilla has existed. Firefox News is a news portal and blog for, and by, science fiction fans. I am looking for a funny, snarky, knowledgeable writer to answer questions from site users and site staff (probably staff, to start) about technology related matters. You must be a fluent and fluid English writer. A knowledge of SF fandom and and fan culture is not required but would be helpful. Most of the site's other writers are very active in fandom, as are the readers. If you're not familiar with fandom you may or may not be in for a dose of culture shock ... *grin* Pay for this position is 99% of Adsense via Adsense API. This is likely to be very low to start; the site has established traffic but this is a new area for the site to grow into. Some important points about the site: -- PR5/6 domain -- Articles are picked up by Google News. We have had several articles on the front page of Google News. -- You're sharing a site with a number of other very talented and dedicated writers and traffic is showing a steady curve upwards. Traffic on content pages doubled between September and October. -- I have a very writer-friendly TOS for the site. Among other things, if you're not happy with the site you can delete your content at any time. I cannot guarantee the number of hits you'll get and, like I said, I expect that Adsense revenue to start will be very low. However, it's a position and web site with a ton of potential. And it's certainly a better deal than starting a blog from scratch since the site has established traffic and PR. To apply, go to http://firefox.org/news/pages/Openings.html and follow the directions. I look forward to seeing some applications for the position. (There are also other positions listed at the link above and I'm willing to listen to suggestions if you have an idea for something you think would fit the site.) -- Leva
