I was checking cached pages on 72.14.253.104 and kept seeing AdSense ads in asian languages... Chinese, I think. Example: http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache...site:www.digitalpoint.com&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=40 Any body else seeing this? Any idea why?
Yeah.. I can see it and for some reason I have seen that on my sites too. They are usually not chinese or whatever it is but german. Not sure what is worst ... Guess ads like that won't give any money at all since people won't click on ads like that, maybe just out of curiosity. Maybe it's just a way for Google to say that they have showed the ads to the advertiser.....
In the past, for the site I was originally checking, the ads in the cache have been a bit off topic, sometimes targeted by the IP... on the site itself, they are on target and in English. Perhaps they have started to switch the language in the cache to keep the impressions from targeted advertisers - in the appropriate language - normal? Or is there something up with some d/c's, and they only have the Chinese ad server to fill in ads in the cache? Honestly, I don't even understand why they show ads in the cache... if it were my call, I'd show public service ads there...
