Want to register some .asia names on moniker but it seems I can't do it without an asian contact or am I missing something?

If a contact is compulsory, can anybody help?

I have heard that .asia domain name can be registered with anyone. And you not need to be Asia resident.

The registry requires a Pan-Asia and Asia-Pacific region contact information. Here is the link to the document http://www.registry.asia/about/faq.html#q21 . there might be some other registrars/resellers who bypass this, but I wouldn’t risk losing a domain for that. Just find you a contact in that region and register with their contact info.

You may use EuroDNS - take a look here about .asia domain names. The codes should not be valid anymore but the asian proxy address service that eurodns provides with .asia domain registrations should be available.
