I've read here that eurodns offers a free .asia.com domain in addition to each registration of .asia domain name. Is this .asia.com extension worths something?
The part that makes me go hhmm, is if this is ran by or in china I would say, stay way from it. China is still communist which means they can change there minds in a drop of a hat and there is nothing you can do about it. Plus I was reading you need a Asian address? Doesn't sound too pleasing to deal with.
1. .asia and .eu are similar as far as market is concerned. 2. An Asian Contact Info is not must. There are 3 options and you can use your present country address if you are even targetng Asian market.
Its worth if you're planning to target developing countries, atleast there are chances to get few good domain name.
They are free.. and IMO that is what they are worth. That's how I feel about most "free" domains and websites out there. I say, if you are going to spend time developing a website buy yourself a nice quality domain name to build it upon. This will increase the site value by many fold in the long run, rather than if you built it upon a "free domain". If you don't plan on developing them then I don't think they're even worth looking at in your portfolio.. lol That's just how I feel, some may disagree.
Hi guys, Thanks for your replies. The question was about .asia.com rather than .asia - it seems that some of you have missed that point.
The only thing i plan to do with my *.asia.com domains is to put some short message there and a link to the real *.asia address. I do not expect that these will be worth anything in the future and as soon Eurodns starts to charge for them i will drop all of them.
You can use domain forwarding instead. Why to waste money for webhosting each domain and then redirecting homepages.
To be honest I dislike that extention, maybe because I have no idea about that how can it be used somewhere.
if u ask me,i'will have to say that someone should probably come up with asia.asia or asia.as..somethin like that....if us has .us,germany for .de then asia for .as
