As a student how to get a credit card in india

I am a student. I need credit card to verify my paypal account. But i heard that it is very difficult to get a credit card in india,,,, can anyone please help me to get a credit card, just to verify the paypal account,,,,

 

If you are student,don't have a cc, you can also use ur parent's CC.but PayPal account must match the name on your bank account

 

Well, you need to be of atleast 18 years and then open a FD in ICICI.

Only option is to open up an FD, I am not sure on the age limit but I think you can have a joint FD account with your parents and apply for a CC.

 

i am having account with Axis Bank,,,, how much i want to deposit in FD to get a credit card,,,,,, i am going to use credit card only to verify the paypal account,,,,, i am not going to use CC for anyother purpose,,,,

do i get charged by bank ?

if i did not use my CC for long time do it will get inactive ??

 

You get 80% credit limit on the amount of FD that you do with the bank (again it depends from bank to bank).

If you wanna use PayPal. and have no CC, you can use your family member CC, it work in PayPal. if you wanna own CC. Apply in your bank where you have account. other wise you can also contact Barclay Card.

Just go to your bank and take a fixed deposit of 30 thousand rupees on your account.you will get a credit card immediately .

This pretty much sums up what I had to say. Use your parent's CC for verification and sending onward money, but for paypal withdrawal you needto match the name in your paypal account with your bank account holder name.

 

You can have Creditcards from Indian bank by doing Fixed deposit if you are a non earning person. Rightnow AXIS BANK is offering this service.
