Well what is your site? And why did the person want the links removed?

Thank you. It seems that the member has a signature link but their SEO team think it is a negative SEO link and they want me to remove them.

But I donot know whether the complaint is the true owner of the website or the member is the true owner of this website.

How to remove this kind of links. I emailed the member, and if the member doesnot reply, I will remove his posts. IS it OK for a forum operator ?

    Thanks in advance!

It seems a negative SEO signature link complaint.

That seems like of odd that your hosting provider would care about a link that a member on your forum posted. Some things don't add up here.

There are many out there trying to scour links from the past that are hurting their page ranking. Google updates have made designers and site owners root out their past link activities. Google says this wasn't their intention but some links can hurt you in the ranking and engine placement game these days.

I think we need to ask ourselves, does the site owner have any legal obligation to remove links to other sites?

Has it suddenly become illegal to link to another website without that site owners permission?
