I just realized that the article that I posted at articlesbase.com has property "nofollow" on links that I put in article and in bio. How can I know in advance which article directories to choose, the ones that will have my article published with normal links?
Well, you could go and look at other articles on the site before hand and see if the links in those articles are no-follow or not. Here's a list of do follow and fast approval article sites. ezinearticles.com/ freearticletrove.com/submitarticles.php 0 a1articles.com/submitArticle.php 1 articledashboard.com/submitarticles.php 5 articlegarden.com/submitarticles.php 0 articlekingpro.com/ articlepool.com/submitarticle.html 5 articlepros.com/add-own.php 3 articlerich.com/submitarticles.php 3 articles2use.com/submitarticles.php 2 articlesalley.com/users/article.php 5 articlesbase.com/publish-articles.php 6 articleselections.com/submitarticles.php 0 articlesfactory.com/ 4 articlesfree.co.uk/submitart.php articlesjust4you.com/submitarticles.php 5 articlesnatch.com/submitarticles.php 4 articlewealth.com/submitarticles.php 1 carolinaarticles.com/submitarticles.php 5 earticlesonline.com/submitarticles.php freeseowebmastertools.com/submitart.php 0 goarticles.com/cgi-bin/add.cgi 5 morefreeinformation.com/submitart.php 6 uniquearticles.info/index.php 3 amazines.com articlecity.com/article_submission.shtml 2 articleslash.net/articlesubmit.php article-smart.com/submitart.php articles-r-free.com/submitart.php

I didnt realise this either until I had submitted a load of articles... grr. Oh well, at least there are plenty of other good ones.
I viewed some of my articlesbase pages with a text editor - they seem to use "nofollow" tags in everything except the syndicated "About the author" box. So if you use articlesbase and you are concerned about pagerank you need to add your links to the "About the author" box and hope it gets syndicated. I've noticed my articlesbase articles tend to get ripped off by other sites, and the links are removed anyway (although my name still appears!). Although the articlesbase links are nofollow in the main article, it is a site reviewed by humans (and should be trusted by the search engines for that reason), so I would think that the links have some impact, even if it is just in terms of the link anchor text.
If you have published at least 10 "non-spam" articles with articlesbase, you can ask the folks at articlesbase to review your account. If the articles are ok (not too many self-promotional links), they will remove the "nofollow" tags.
Thanks for providing list. And Thank you so much for the attention to detail while writing the instructions.
