Alot of people have been complaining because of ArticlesBase having nofollow. I just looked up the source for some articles, and yes, links in the article body are nofollow, but I can't find any "nofollow" tags for links in the author box.. Can someone please confirm? If this is true, then that would mean AB is just as good as EZA for backlinks, if not better, right? I mean, with AB you can put links in your article body to help you get traffic/clicks, and if that's not enough, you can also use your article for backlinks/SEO by placing some links in the author box. EZA only allows links in the author box, and they're dofollow. AB allows links in the article body (nofollow) AND links in the author box (dofollow, from what I can see right now). I'm pretty sure EZA is also pretty strict with what you can put in the author box, while AB is pretty lenient with your promotion of your site in the author box.
I just checked a couple and they were both NOfollow in the article and in the resource box...: http://www.articlesbase.com/coffee-...enjoy-freshly-hand-crafted-coffee-828682.html Here is a snippet from their editorial terms page: http://www.articlesbase.com/editorial-guidelines You may include up to 3 hyperlinks in an article (all anchor text links have the 'nofollow' tag). You may include up to 3 hyperlinks in your Author Bio (all anchor text links have the 'nofollow' tag). Even still I do think Articlesbase is the #2 behind EZA purely for the traffic it can bring
It has been discussed many times on this forum....AB is nofollow.. It's a great article directory for traffic, but if you want backlinks AND traffic go to Ezine.
I get no traffic from Ab..anyway is full of spam, it can't be compared to EZ regarding the editorial guidelines. Also, did anyone notice a lower number of hops yesterday? Almost half of the usual number of hops, I am pretty sure is a CB thing
My traffic from AB has decreased a lot since the site update recently. yet it's still more traffic than from other article directory and I don't mean Ezine now..
Articlesbase.com is nofollow both in Body and Resource links, but it can be used for Article marketing purpose as it generates good traffic and they also allow promotion in article body.
Too bad you send the email already. There is probably a bug in the system, and you alert them to the problem. Now all links definitely will be nofollow.
Can someone expalin to me what is "dofollow" or "nofollow"? I'm new in article marketing and I just started 4 days ago and I want to learn as much as I can. Thanks in advance. Menits
Sorry, I deleted my post. I looked long and hard through all the code and I found a part of the code that made the links in the author box nofollow, lol. It was confusing at first because they showed the exact code but with no "rel=nofollow", and then somewhere in the code, there's a copy of the author box code with all this other crap added and a "rel=nofollow". D'oh! ..
Most of the time you can just right click on the link and select "Properties" and it says if it is nofollow there, or there are programs you can get / extensions to firefox that automatically highlight the follow / nofollow links on a page..
Hmm, when I right click on a link, there is no "Properties" option. I'm using Firefox, but yeah, I found a plugin I could use to make it alot easier without having to use the code. For anyone who wants to download it, search up "NoDoFollow".
no follow = Google doesn't "count" the link to help you with PR do follow = Google counts the link (therefore it's more valuable)
