Articles vs directory submission which option is better

Hello,
I have a question on which option is better about writing articles and submit to article directories and submit to free web directories.

Which option is better?

Also, is submitting to new free directories good?

I always recommend mixed link building that means, all effective methods which include directory submission,srticle submission,social bookmarking etc.

 

Mix it up. If you've got a few hours today you can write an article and post it. If you've only got 15 minutes then submit to some web directories.

I do it because it only takes a few minutes a day to keep up with them and you never know which one will turn out big. It's like buying a lottery ticket.

 

Same here. I do both. As for new dirs, while many will die after a while, you can have a link that get good juice down the road.

 

article directories have some advantages:

- you can use any anchor text in your articles. In case of directories, many allow just the site name to be used as the anchor text.
- you can submit as many articles as you want and thus get as many links as you want.
- you can create deeplinks with your articles. Many directories don't accept deeplinks.

 

I definitely do both but I've noticed article submission is a little better for me. Directories are all good but articles get noticed faster, and will gain backlicks quicker as well.

 

Directories are great, but I writing articles and submitting to the top directories gets my site noticed faster than ever, especially when the article is targeting a specific niche and has good content. Not only that, but good quality articles help me take a new site and get it indexed fairly fast with the major search engines.

 

you have to have value on those links like it's relevant and on topic, directories provide categories value than an article, but the latter does give you unlimited supply of referral link once your article becomes famous.

I also suggest to do both technique. There are some advantages in article that directory don't have and same as to article submission.

Both are recommended. But i feel article submissions have a bit of an advantage.

No doubt, article submission is a far much better option than directory submission. Earlier DS used to be very effective but now the trend is changed.
Go ahead with promoting your site through artcle submissions

 

i would suggest not to relay only only directory submission for article submission. i prefer article submission as you will get link from relevant content. but still you need to work for other offsite techniques too.

 

Article Submission Directories have some good advantage as they generate rapid back links for your web site and you can have many options.

You can provide hyper links to give accurate keyword many directories does not show this.
You can submit as many article you like by creating deep links.

the article with good content and targeted niche, get it indexed fairly fast with the major search engines.

Article submission is my personal favourite because its useful for online community and also give some good leads which effectively get converted in business.

I am not an english writer. One article takes me about 3 hours to write because I have to research for key terms, blah blah, blah... And, within 3 hours, I can submit to 100 new directories.

Both are good link building techniques, with article submission scoring high because you get nice in-content links, which carry more weight and boost your SERP's
