Articles top Google ranks in less than 24 hours

Lots of Seo's discuss the need to submit articles for SEO purpose but where you submit has as much if not more impact than the fact that you submit.

Lots of Article farms lock the content behind closed doors or the site itself requires searching function to find your content. I.E. They are not robot friendly at all.

Understanding that Google stages the content it finds can help you understand how and where to submit.

Does the Keywords in the title have an effect? Yes/No

After 400,000 News stories TIME is the factor on that answer. Google is best explained in Bursts or Pops of information.

Short pop listings use the title and the keywords in the URL to determine keyword strength.

Submitting articles to Prnewsnow will yield a top Google rank in usually less than 12 hours. The url will reflect the title as part of the location. This is done to Help search engines focus the audience on the intended content and allow them to deal with Fast breaking or quick updated news. This is how you get into google in such short time via Press sites. It should be noted that this ranking is PRE-CRAWLER. While submitting your clients to Prnewsnow in the morning and showing them a number 1 google rank that after may sound like a great sales pitch. Bewarned if the title has keywords that are hard to fight for. I.e. Vegas, hotels etc etc. The content better be outstanding and not read like a SEO wrote it. These get flagged for REAL people to check them out.

The next step is crawler actually parses around the information and links and even permanent linkings to that article. This is the Medium Pop or Medium Burst. Here you will search google for the title of your article on day 3-5 and find that the URL has been updated and the keyword rich url is removed from the listings in favor of the shorter serialized URL. Space is one reason Google does this, More importantly its a short term trust with the site that allows its content to get immediate access to top serps and then a friendly navigation that allows it up date that url to one that is managable with such large volumes of content.

Dealing with the release you just made in terms of content whoring and how you link to the Press release determine its move from Medium pop to long term pop

Long term pops are the key that most SEO's really look for and Google guards the PR rank for pages of this nature very carefully.

The Home page for the Open Free release only ranks a PR3 this is because it is Open and too many SEO's don't write content that people actually want to read. Where as any of the categorized information has a PR 4 or better. These are trully editor controlled content and the PR reflects it.

Of the content pages that have PR rank this usually come from the company that actually links back to its own PR. Google sees this as Natural for a company to display itself and its releases in the news, as they should it is natural.

Google seems to be able to tell easily those who are just trying to promote for the sake of promoting. They put their press releases on their own website then issue them publicly hoping the duplicate content filter will force theirs higher. Game over on that scam, Google is not even ranking sites that do that in the top 3-5 pages with a content title search.

When you use any Press release system its important to your SEO to let the system do its job. Its the PR companies job to get your content ranked. If you want that article on your site post it on your site and YOURS ALONE, let the chips fall where they may on ranking.

Keep in mind Google is using realistic goals when it comes to traffic. The goal is not to increase your unique visitor counter its to increase your sales/readership. PR companies act as a filter and those readers who click through the article are Highly motivated buyers/readers. They have already heard what you have to say and they want more.

How you treat these motivated readers is the next place where SEO's fail in article submission.

Linking people into your SEO pages via Keyword rich links maybe in THEORY good for your ranks on that keyword but usually is not a quality conversion of motivated traffic.

Examine your writing and realize that the article/Press release is a remote extention of your website, in fact your visitors are only a click away. So remember when your borrowing the power of a PR company not to waste the traffic that company gets for your content on robot optimization, Make people want to read more and click through the article to your website.

Ok stop and read. How stupid would a search engine have to be to let the top Black hat seo keywords have open access.

If your too lazy to read take the time to be too lazy to post please.

YOUR Goal may be to get a top keyword for some insane Google ad cash cow. Some people actually promote their websites to get real readers.

Long long time ago before you thought about lieing on your resume about your marketing abilities, I remember when 200 visitors a day meant $10,000 in sales for one of my businesses. Now because of SEO keyword farming for the direct purpose of refiltering through paid ads merchants find it hard to get to that tiny bit of market they seek and/or need. Now it takes 12,000 "unique visitors" to fill that same net profit. There is a LONG LONG line of guys in China and the Ukraine everything they can to fake a search for a fake click.

Here is the funny thing that shows your ignorant of the market. As everyone reads this Think truly think how many times you typed "Poker Games" into a search engine and were actually doing so because you wanted to play poker.

99% of you just realized you never have. You may of searched for it to find out how they are getting top results. Only unless you own an online casino (which is illegal in the US) who cares. The list of top searched keywords is a fairly bogus list.

The only sites talking in 2 keyword phrases are insta-launch directories trying to skim PPC traffic. They are also the sites creating most of the "search traffic" for those phrases. Its Trash search and worthless readers if any are real readers.

Don't confuse Black Hat seo money grabbers with how to Impact your business with people who want to be there.

200 people = $10,000 and 12000 people =$10,000 Is your goal the 12,000 readers or the $10,000 per day in sales?

Once again your trying to change what I said and twist it into a keyword game versus a traffic game.

Are you selling Disney world vacations?(another bs search term over hyped by directories)

Now the funny thing is I wrote a helpful article about people just like you.

You then come back and say "how dare I challenge your keyword spamming techniques"

Let me try to translate this another way. I am challenging the traffic your getting with those techniques. That the focus on large volumes of traffic has lost the fact that your looking for business. Well maybe your not.

Ok let me throw back to you with some pepper. Get me the number 1 spot for "Guns" I will pay you $500. Thats an open challenge by the way. There is no seo farms on that word. Will grow old and gray waiting for you to collect on that one.

The reason you can't collect the money is the same reason I wrote the article, there is a frontal assault on words that have bogus search volume. That word or keyphrase triggers an instant que to human review of what your doing.

I offered up method to get into the filtering process long term for the proper traffic mindset not how to get a number 1 listing on a specific keyword.

If I wanted to actually sell Disney vacations I wouldn't mention disney vacations anywhere in my press release, because it would lock the article out until it was reviewed by a human, but I would discuss vacation pro's and cons, close to home overseas or maybe an article on vacations that need a passport and AT THE END link over to the website on a NON KEYWORD DRIVEN LINK where I would begin to sell my vacation packages. See its the 200 versus the 12000 arguement it kinda flew over you sites because its just not what you do. Its called marketing your product versus the hard sell SEO ramp up of trash traffic. Catch their interest, make them think vacation without saying vacation then link them into your vacation site. Prepare you visitor mentally for what they are about to see.

Do you think you make a lot of money if you were number one of disney vacations then the guys click over and see side by side google ad boxes popup with a blurp about vacations at the bottom?

For you two quick mouths there is a term for people selling something they don't own, CON-ARTIST

Nope not selling disney vacations or poker games...they are keywords that are used daily and which by your own admission cannot be obtained with the silly theory you posted..

As for your $500.00 offer for the keywords gun.....

Sorry but for such a term the deposit for me to think about the SEO for your site would be $5,000.00 to start

and in all honesty not a keyword I would attempt to rank a client for since it would not bring the targeted buying traffic

so even if you had the $5,000.00 deposit.... I would tell you NO!!!!!!!

    :D

and don't bother to PM me anymore as this silly thread is now in my unsubscribed list

Here is a an article posted by someone who also half read. Saw the word free thought it would get them a link.
    www prnewsnow com/Blog/egjeff4/198732

So I am going to review this as if the guy actually wanted business.

First the title "Flag" keyword spam.

    A fix

Title : Official-tickets.com begins to corner market on sold out tickets

    Content is just a mess:

Remember our goal should be that people actually come to our site. 80% of the readers who come to read or content come via RSS feed not search engine. Here's a secret we disable all links in RSS feeds to ensure that all readers will pick them up.

The non-article reads like he is selling a chevy nova in the sunday paper. The goal here should be customers so a story about sold out shows, planning ahead and what to do when you just got to impress. An article on the business gift value of hard to get tickets. Remember the readership on the news site is mostly business people so the article of that nature would get natural play.

Now the normal SEO factors are going to play here. How is the domain, incoming links, popularity, server speed, where you hosted.

Host gator brings him down a bit. (strictly because its a commerce site without its own IP and ssl cert)
Not having a robot.txt file INSTANT GOOGLE RUN OFF.

Over keyword hyping of offsite content.

Finally this guy put the link to his site in wrong. and it the link was relative versus a normal hyperlink. Again instead of Hyperlinking strong keywords he should of sold his product and just linked his own domain.

Folks anyone who gives a 5000 deposit to a seo firm has lost their minds. No firm could optimize for that word on any site. There is a list of words you are not allowed to touch.

Note the word deposit from this guy and not price. I will gladly challenge honest seo firms. Design me a page or pages I will place them on gunmuse.com and if you get number 1 in google for guns $5000 happily paid. After 10 years in both the firearm and media market I am well aware of what you are "allowed" to do. More than 50 firms have promised me that keyword as a sales pitch none have ever gotten close.

Now how do I get 10,000 readers a day without getting my wildly desired keywords.

My silly little technique of course.

Would you mine to show your traffic stats and the sources? 10,000 readers a day is something good to show us here. Also, it can be proof to the technique that you have mentioned.

    Thanks.

I highlighted the last two days not to point out the large increase but to make note that this is due to a partnership to provide news releases as content to directories and search engines for filler.

We offer a brandable xml searched output of all content. It can be fairly helpful in site launches to bring not just RSS content to a site but actually keyword specific content.

Want to reenforce the fact that the goal when doing business off your site is to increase your creditablilty. I will guarantee you that keyword targeting every iink does just the opposite.

Part of your ranking is the wonder-in and stay awhile stat. One of the orginal reasons we put google ads on the site was not to generate income but to gain insite.

You write content and wait a few days and see what ads google is displaying. THAT tells you what google thinks of page with some certainty. IF you see press release ads after a few days then Google can't figure out what the hell your trying to say. Rethink what you did.

One more point its not a "technique" . Technique's are something you use to manipulate results. Its Promotion of your website... Positively. There is no mustache twisting underhandedness going on here.

My purpose to bringing this to SEO's is to IMPROVE the quality of their press releases. Real people read these, the days of Just the facts Ma'am are gone your release IS NOT going to be rewritten by an editor at a paper somewhere. If he uses it YOU will have to have made it readable to a large audience. With so much content to choose from the bar is being raised.

I find submitting to sites like dzone and digg, your articles get on the search engines in less than 4 hours.

Absolutely, there is a problem with stopping there or trying to use a low volume site to point content in that manner.

Go back and check your articles in 2 weeks or 3 months. The quick pop you get via digg doesn't last. Its one of the reasons we offer the Digg link to PR as it does tend to be more actively monitored by Google, almost real time. 4 hours we will have pushed the Digg of one our links out of the iistings in most cases though.

Google is trying to deal with REAL time information and compete with television in this regards to news. Digg (and other social bookmarkings) are a great indicator that something may be happening right now. So Google lends the benefit of the doubt to the Social bookmarkings recommendations, this is only temporary as once the content is crawled it will be ranked on normal ranking alogrythm of thier search.

There is no long term benefit to having a Dugg article, There is a real reader benefit to it though, so you need to determine the value of your content as short term or long term and plan accordingly.
