Articles submission in bulk - Is it right?

On this forum, it has often been discussed that one should never submit same articles to all articles directories to avoid content duplication. On the other hand I see articles submission service 100+ or 300+ articles submission for $10-$30 are being offered and all the same very SEOs who have opined here are using their services. So what's going on? Is it right seo thing?

 

I don't submit to that many directories because most of them are worthless anyway.....I always distribute a different version of the article than the one I place on my site.

 

So why u think that article submission did't help u ?

I have read in many SEO articles that Article submissions can help to increase PR.

 

Whatever they say, I'm sure that submitting in bulk will help you in some way... link developement, for example.

but it depends on the pr... for how good of a backlink it is, and also how much traffic will get to your article, if you expect to get direct traffic from the articles your submitting.

submitting the same article in bulk will get you a less specific way of advertising than submitting 1 by 1

 

I have used article submission to push some already strong sites from the 2nd page of google to the 1st page for some VERY competitive terms including single word money terms.

Note I am writing a single article for the distribution that is on topic but used no where but the article directories.

For many of my clients this is part of their monthly link spend. The links it provides are dirt cheap.

 

Ya, article submission definetely boast the ranking of site in SERP's.

 

Article submission does provide a powerful method of getting links. However a lot depends on the actual quality of the article.

There is nothing wrong with submitting to tons of article directories, but don’t forget to try finding related sites that can add your article. Try typing in things into google ‘add article topic'.

 

You may submit same article to all articles directories for "REPRINT" so you will get alot backlinks from alot content & informtaion sites without duplication at all.

Most posts are saying articles submission is helpful but that's not the thread about. The topic is should the same content be published in 300+ articles directories, is it right seo thing?
If it is wrong then why SEOs are using these articles submission services where they publish same content over and over again, and
If it is right, then why SEOs talk about duplicate content problem viz-a-viz to Google?
