Higher pagerank is refer to the number of quality backlinks you received. Either article or directory, it is be from relevant content sites, low outbound links, aged domain, no SEO penalty, etc. Now, you can decide which one is good.
Depends upon where the link is placed. If an article has PR 7 and I have a link in there - I would prefer the article, whereas if the directory category has PR 7 - I would opt to submit in that section as well. So the criteria for me would be pr of the page irrespective of it being a blog, article or directory.
Hi there, I would say both are equally important for getting good PR, because both have their own significance in SEO strategies. For good SEO you must have to concentrate on good Do follow sites so that you can get good back links, and don't think much about PR, because it doesn't participate in getting good SERP.
Both. Imagine a site with 1000 backlinks only from directories. Google penalize this. You have to mix the source of your backlinks to make them look natural.
Articles are much better but they have some requirements..Like Good and unique Content..Some intellectuality required from writer to gain the focus of reader..Time consuming but always return some thing.
Article marketing is better if you write quality and submit them in right category. Everything should keep continue otherwise we down site after some time.
Articles will give you stronger backlinks based on PR of the sites they are going to come from. They are also more likely to be around a year or two from now. If you think about it, an article takes some effort to write while a directory submission takes literally no effort. To me, that means the articles are going to be stronger links in the eyes of G, which loves content.
Both are important..but i recommended article submission.. B'coz using that we can get traffic as well as backlinks..
I would suggest a good combination of both methods. Article Marketing is good for getting backlinks on high RP pages and distributing your backlinks to other pages. Directories are good for bringing in plain one way backlinks. What I like to do is in all article directories, when I backlink, I use anchor text with keywords that are relevant to my site. In directories, I only use the URL as anchor text. To Google, this looks natural, and gives a nice balance so that absolutely all backlinks are not being used with the same anchor text, etc, etc.
